I swear Taeui stay analyzing “the look in Illay” eyes as human-like and somewhat soft, like whatttt???…… That’s legit a whole sicko, psycho, rapist, and multiple assault maniac impulsive man child. There was nothing in illay from the beginning that should make anyone want to stay if I have to be honest. Having finished the novel a while back, I hate that I still felt like Taeui was an idiot. Sex fueled their relationship, alongside some other foolery lowkey.
Did we HAVE to go this route?? For such a long time now, these authors have been incorporating rape in their writing too much(and I think it’s time many of them to stop infantilizing it), and the tone of it is fetishized to some extent too. I just feel like it’s a cope out for bad writing or instead lack of direction . I especially say this for “flashlight” because I truly could’ve seen a different direction for this series. And so, with whatever happens from here on out would basically be as predictable as these other yaois with the same ol’ SA then forgiveness, redemption, and peace . Anyways yall check out “Shutline” IF no one has(which I’m sure many already did), I say that because that story knows how to create buildup while acknowledging consent, all while making it look HOT AS HELL
Sigh~ it’s SA yet again… hopefully they rekindle(although I’m pretty sure they will), but confronting this behavior and moving on with or without each other would definitely be unpredictable to add in this story, but I find it in crazy normalized rap*ing your so called lover is more predictable in these bls than actually loving them

What I’m about to say will fly over MANY heads right now as I presume someone may say “then don’t read it”. However, having read the novel and making it to this part and so on, I truly was waiting for a shift in my heart towards illay, but I just don’t like him tbh. This segment in the story was pretty disturbing in the novel, like he legit r**ed Taeui and did not listen to him at all(it’s not something we are unfamiliar with, which makes Illay so damn disturbing and sick and I mean it in some “killing stalking” level
By far one of my favorite couples to read in yaoi!!! They’ve always shown how hot it is to communicate with each other, something not executed enough in this genre fr. The way that you could feel how much they love each other to NOT WANT TO HURT ONE ANOTHER(I had to bold that) and their level of understanding for themselves is sexy cause they know how to let it out. This series is truly a fav of mine!!! Jay and Shingun will always have my heart!!!!
As it gives the feeling of coming to an end at some point I want to say how much series will never be forgotten in my book
