karie created a topic of Blossoms of the White Night

when Shuraka put his hand to Tei's face, all of his rings match Tei in some capacity. The red rubies/gems being the exact same color as Tei's eyes, moreover the second ring literally just being black with a red gem. I'm sure given the vibe and presentation of Shuraka's culture thus far, it seems to value a lot of color and gold, so having a fully black band (w/red gem) is basically a testament of Shuraka's dedication to Tei.

karie created a topic of Lady Baby

genuinely how we gonna play ping pong with who's dying (not even one chapter to register literally ANYTHING) and then ofc it lands on the side character who just started getting redeemed

also she's 15 and getting married?????????????? at least age her up a bit...

everyone's world revolved around lippe (like even side characters), and no one has their own personality

what rly gets me is the ping pong ball of death at the end..

the entire ending just felt so rushed and jumbled that there truly was no suspense? it just didn't match the entire rest of the story which took over 200 chapters ..

karie created a topic of The Mask Of The Demon

Here are a few things I simply do not understand

1) why does jaeha keep saying he forced the marriage, when in reality, taegon always had the option to just reject? is this a power thing?? it's not like any threats were involved?? why is jaeha so dense?? like i dont get it
2) given the fact jaeha realized taegon approached him (is this fr (cuz sumin also said it was) or is this purely theorized by jaeha) for ulterior motives (revenge on yushin), why doesn't he just say he will help
3) jaeha literally just doesnt ever communicate or listen to taegon lwk... also taegon doesnt even properly word things either... like both are just so ass at ts bro

maybe my confusion just stems from this manhwa / characters being poorly written, but srs... whaaaaaat

guys he might be mentally challenged but yall calling him autistic is devious cuz wtffff

karie created a topic of The Nerd Formula

why are we calling Seonwu a fake nerd when bro is quite literally talking about string theory and actual topics in advanced physics... He might just be more emotionally aware but that doesnt mean he's manipulative (in a harmful way). Like we know HuiJin is jealous and wants Jae-eun, is it bad of seonwu to be possessive of his gf??? like

I know that the "best" solution would be to communicate, but do you really think Tei would feel better after saying what is on his mind? He will just feel like he is burdening Shuraka. Like let's look at his character and the beginning of chapter 19 where the author literally TELLS us that Tei feels the need to PROVE himself. Having to just ask Shuraka about this will just rub salt in the wound because he himself cannot do anything. The nature of their relationship has such a stark power difference where Tei is basically helpless. He knows he cannot be an equal to Shuraka, but he wants to at least be of help to Shuraka.

Yes, Tei is misunderstanding Shuraka, but at the same time, I feel like it falls more on Shuraka to be transparent from the beginning. Imagine your husband rejects your advances.... EVEN AT THE COST of his own health?????

I just wanted to say this because it's clear that Tei has literally been UPROOTED from his life (once again!) after ten years of NO CONTACT. He literally has no support system and is isolated. Even with Shuraka, how can he feel comfortable to confide in anyone??? How can he put trust into Shuraka? If Shuraka is rejecting his advances, but still brings him back to a far away empire, is it just out of obligation? Like..........I can't blame Tei at all

karie created a topic of Imperial Marriage

how does it have a 9.3????? needs a 9.5+ at least..

karie created a topic of Honey Lemon Soda

I genuinely hate that they included this kind of arc with this kind of character. It felt wrong considering
1) miura let ami, who he knows LOVES him, get close to him. It's not just a, she will be a normal friend, but she is consistently claiming to be a love RIVAL to uka, his gf. She is clearly trying TO date him by getting into a closer proximity to him, and everyone is telling uka that she's insecure?????? except her friends. Like bffr
2) ami literally sexually harassed miura by trying to kiss him w/o consent, HELLO???
3) why is ami using the rhetoric that uka "cant handle any girl being close to miura" when it's obvious that again, AMI IS TRYING TO STEAL HER BF AWAY FROM HER?? Of course any girl would be uncomfortable if there's someone that is SEXUALLY HARASSING HER BF AND TAKING PICTURES w/o consent. Like ??

I understand this is a high school setting and what not, but this behavior is actually repulsive and rlly annoying.

I honestly just wish that they talked more and that OUTSIDE parties wouldn't constantly interfere.

karie created a topic of Mousetrap

I dont get why yuhyeon built his negative perception of omegas on the omega his father regularly sleeps with. I get if it's different ppl all of the time, but it's clear that his father is with that one specific omega usually. regardless, i dont understand why he thinks he is in a different position than the omega his father sleeps with when he clearly also has his own sex partner that he enjoys having sex with. Like am i crazy???????????????????

karie created a topic of Between Fate And Fortune

i wanted to read this manhwa bc it was promoted as a green flag/ non -toxic couple, and it was!! it's insane how REFRESHING it was to see issues appear and get resolved basically immediately with proper communication between two GROWN adults. Despite each character having their own issues and unique personality, they are aware of them and can maturely go about it. I feel LIBERATED

why doesnt she just come out as the daughter and take a blood test or smth </3

karie created a topic of The Selfish Romance

I think it's a bit bewildering that Iseom spent months (as it's been around 4-5 months perhaps since the break up) deliberating and understanding his emotions for Yumin... Even if he is aromantic, how could he have not noticed her missing presence? Or at least the comfortable and stable connection he claimed to have toward her? Or at least felt any type of passion to want to bring her back? I know that he felt it to be inconsiderate, but really, is this the way he should act after a 6 year relationship? Not even a question as to why she ended it? I already know this relationship will not work as he cannot love her the way she needs to be loved. (note i said needs). anyway...

karie created a topic of Secret Mode

she j got raw dogged and black ate her out then said she was wet... well..

I am so tired of 2nd chance trash MLs. Some of these characters literally act like they were born yesterday and do not understand AT ALL how relationships work. Ml literally treated FL like shit in their previous life. He isolated her, neglected her, and NEVER actually uttered any words of love to her? He eventually realized his love for her, and you know what he did about it? NOTHING! She was so open and devoted to him, yet he could not even afford her any words of affirmation. Someone said that it was because he got threatened using her, but at the same time, he is literally an S esper... Plus he can legit just be secretive about his love for her in a way where she knows?? These emotionally immature men forget that relationships are mutual. It's actually quite frustrating.

Why is the imperial consort even targeting Shuelina?? I dont even understand her goal. If she is trying to take control of the palace/make her daughter empress, why is the crown prince ok? why would an imperial princess ruin anything from the empress? from my understanding, in the previous life, she literally just criminalizes and isolates shuelina, but the crown prince still is fine and in power? like ??

i really like the premise and everything but the father is actually trash. maybe im just not meant for harems/historical manhwas, but like, he's actually stupid to keep falling for all these tricks..

what's the saying, if someone keeps being involved in conflicts, perhaps theyre the issue.. (all the loyal and good people toward the emperor supposedly being snuffed out by the same group of people)

I saw someone talk about how (SPECULATION BTW) Evelyn's husband, Rowen, manipulated her and I honestly fully support that idea. I NEED EVELYNS BACK STORY NOWWW NOWNONWOWNWOWNWOWOWWOWJWOE. LIKE. I need to know what happened during that decade apart from the colonel and also the colonel and Evelyn's backstory (at least why she had to tear the colonel out of her life). Many people say it's bc Evelyn had to protect him/ its her way of protecting him, but also, i just need to know for sure. Someone else also said something that was honestly super insightful—she only recalled Rowen mainly if she was in high stress environments. Like when Colonel was threatening to kill himself, she knew she didn't want the colonel to die at all (but was at peace with herself dying) but when the colonel started begging her to say she loved him, she immediately recalls Rowen in almost a panicking manner. anyway, regardless, I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT EVELYN NWO

Ok truthfully i didnt read this seriously because generally in my experience, manhwas with ratings below 9.0 is usually quite bad, so i started back reading it, but it lwk slaps? like... HELLO? and all the comments im reading are praising it... I think because i just immediately spoiled myself, I'm going to wait until it has way more chapters to properly read it. also another reader said that it reminded them of Do I wanna know Hozier cover so you know i am LOCKED IN!!!!

Spoilers ahead! Warning tho, it's a lot. =w='

Basically; long time ago, there was the original head of the Lapireon family, Einhard lapileon. That's the picture of him in the locket. He was in love with a girl, Lira, who was either Pereshati ancestor or similar to her. All you really need to know is that Einhard loved her a lot, like how currently Theo loves Pereshati.

Someone didn't like that. That someone was a witch who was obsessively in love with Einhard; which was unrequited. He had his own love and she was INSANE. So, crazy witch then cursed the family with the now famous and deadly blood curse; the duke's lover confronted the witch, saying she'll die if it means lifting the curse. It was a trick. The duke's love died, the curse continued, and the witch now stupidly thought she had the duke's love finally... But he committed suicide, saying he would kill the witch in his next life.

Because the curse came with a witch vow, she was then cursed with being immortal; that now crazy witch is in the princess body. It's not her living forever in her same body, but cursed to continue living and dying on different bodies since then. Hence why she's in the princess body and not her original. Also, she doesn't even really see Theo, as Theo; just her 'beloved' Einhard. Crazy witch is just treating him as a replacement too. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)

The original princess wasn't this loved-obsessed psycho either; she was a normal girl, who was very sick. It was just that she had died due to said illness (I think, it's a little fuzzy) and now the crazy witch inhabits her body thanks to her own curse. Hence why there was talk of the princess at the beginning, never leaving her room and having health problems in the previous life.

Now, the curse it's self is easy to stop and lift. You just have to kill the witch.

Four of the extended family of the Lapireon family, then stupidly makes a deal with the witch, a witch vow. Whoever breaks it, they die a most horrible and painful death. It just triggers suddenly, no warning either. The witch/princess tells them to bring her Pereshati as a sacrifice, then the curse will be lifted. (The same trick she used before with Lina, which sadly worked then.) However, Pereshati herself comes and makes a deal/vow with the witch; she'll die for the family, so long as not one of them is harmed or hurt and the curse IS lifted. (the close family btw, not the traitor extended family.)

The witch then starts murdering people within the palace, and I mean A LOT; becoming a bloody and horrifying massacre. The witch is taking their energy by killing people (I believe, because her now princess body is sickly, she kills/sacrifices people to keep her healthy and to gain back her witch powers. I don’t think her normal non-witch princess body could muster strength to kill Pereshati. This is my guess however.) and right as she's about to kill Pereshati, Theo comes rushing to the rescue, before collapsing himself. (the curse at this point is killing him, hence why Pereshati confronted the witch to stop and lift the curse, before it kills him)

Expect all works out and we get happy ending, because the witch had broken the vow. The witch promised to not harm the Lapireon family, she broke it already without knowing, by trying to hurt Pereshati. Who IS apart of the Lapireon family. (In her own crazy delusion, she never considered Pereshati a member of the family; her own grave mistake) She ALSO then realizes the other vow; the one made with the four extended family members? That's also broken. Because they didn't bring Pereshati themselves, she came herself willingly.

And because they broke the vow, both the witch and traitorous Lapireon family members die a very, VERY painful death.

Btw! Pereshati knew about the witch’s trick/lie, that if ‘she only dies the curse will be lifted.’ Pereshati just played along in a way, playing her own trick with the vow to not harm the family. To trick the witch to essentially kill herself and truly end the curse.

Side note: Theo also becomes emperor! The whole royal family weren't painted in a good light thanks to the witch/princess. With her cult and sacrificing people to restore her power and the emperor being somewhat aware of it all and still covered it up. And when Pereshati shows up to be a 'sacrifice,' because the blood curse suddenly takes a turn for the worst, the witch/princess goes on a rampage, killing all the servants in her palace and abuses her ‘royal authority’ to keep the royal guards from intervening. All of this corruption is what gave the Lapileons cause to remove the royal family from power.
…..Also when Theo came to rescue Pereshati, the emperor made an entrance during this very heated and intense confrontation. The witch is trying to kill Pereshati after all! But uh... The emperor tries to accused/order Theo to protect his daughter, but he ends up being stabbed by her instead because he tried to interfere…...... Whoops? ( ̄□ ̄||)
