genuinely how we gonna play ping pong with who's dying (not even one chapter to register literally ANYTHING) and then ofc it lands on the side character who just started getting redeemed
also she's 15 and getting married?????????????? at least age her up a bit...
everyone's world revolved around lippe (like even side characters), and no one has their own personality
what rly gets me is the ping pong ball of death at the end..
the entire ending just felt so rushed and jumbled that there truly was no suspense? it just didn't match the entire rest of the story which took over 200 chapters ..
Here are a few things I simply do not understand
1) why does jaeha keep saying he forced the marriage, when in reality, taegon always had the option to just reject? is this a power thing?? it's not like any threats were involved?? why is jaeha so dense?? like i dont get it
2) given the fact jaeha realized taegon approached him (is this fr (cuz sumin also said it was) or is this purely theorized by jaeha) for ulterior motives (revenge on yushin), why doesn't he just say he will help
3) jaeha literally just doesnt ever communicate or listen to taegon lwk... also taegon doesnt even properly word things either... like both are just so ass at ts bro
maybe my confusion just stems from this manhwa / characters being poorly written, but srs... whaaaaaat
what i understand:
1) this is all his thinking lol because he "insisted" the marriage. but even when he knows taeyon wouldn’t feel pressured or even threatened by him, he just thinks it was an “oh well okay” decision from taeyon. its more of a “he did it because i said it so = forced him” kind of thinking. this guy jaeha istg…
2) first, for now i think it’s safe to say it’s for real. like it makes sense lol. second, i think it’s because every time he tried to help, taeyon got angry at him. so “if i’m not next to him he can’t see me” ahh thought. so now he’s doing everything to take down yushin far from taeyon for him not to stop jaeha :/
3) miscommunication ahh couple but make it worst because they both are stubborn as fuck
hope this helps a little (⌒▽⌒)
Kinda spoilers imo
I remember mtl'ing the novel a little while back nd wouldn't say this is horribly written, its just the mc seems abit autistic lol and alot of the times mc is over analysing stuff or jusg having a mental breakdown in his head lol , so yeah alot of you guys might find his thinking process a little confusing in the manhwa , since its very difficult to translate all his mind games to art , nd also as far as i read even though it was definitely clear ml was into the mc , i would say ml definitely gave an eery vibe nd also not to mention dude also hide aton of stuff from the mc which makes his overthinking speed run lol.
1.Mc thinks ml doesn't like him and was forced to marry him bc from wht i remember idk if it was still said in the manhwa bc i kinda skipped a few chs lol but anyways mls mom had a really bad experience from mc's family so he thinks tht ml wants the revenge and is forced to marry him bc of tht , nd this is also one reason mc thinks ml dislikes him. Bfr knowing the moms part mc thought ml was forced to marry him bc alpha x alpha marriage is pretty looked down upon in tht society,so he thought ml was insisted upon to do the marriage for connections or the ml had something to gain from this
2. He does have ulterior motives lol. He wants the revenge on mcs family nd he doesn't say he wants to help the ml bv he knows ml won't accept it and they are still in an awkward state regards to communication nd mc is literally closed off so he just wants to do whtvr he can to help the ml from his side.
3. I dont think there is miscommunication,it mostly no communication lmao
why are we calling Seonwu a fake nerd when bro is quite literally talking about string theory and actual topics in advanced physics... He might just be more emotionally aware but that doesnt mean he's manipulative (in a harmful way). Like we know HuiJin is jealous and wants Jae-eun, is it bad of seonwu to be possessive of his gf??? like
I understand ur point, but also, some people do genuinely change. We've seen him, but this is ONLY through Huijin's perspective (right??), and huijin's perspective of him is extremely biased. Huijin viewed seonwu with jealousy/possessiveness bc he thought/hoped that seonwu needed him as much as he relied on seonwu. Maybe in our eyes /seonwu's perspective, he seems like a social butterfly, but what if that idea was just exaggerated? Regardless of that, it's clear that he was also not making direct advances toward jae-eun...... he helped her first, but also that's his job as a person working in a library. Furthermore, again, he is an architecture engineer with clear knowledge about "nerdy" topics.
also ik some things are implied like omg he's so good in bed so that must mean he sleeps around, but also, our mc is inexperienced too.
overall i do agree that lying isn't a good foundation for a relationship, but so many people change themselves to appeal to their ideal. I don't think it's necessary horrible as long as it's not harmful.
I think his nerdy charactor he is playing (if he is, author is doing a good job kepping foreshadowing low key) is tequired not to make a move cos genrally nerds dont (and mc clearly like shy/cute types). But all the patterns are there if you know where to look. Smoke and fire and all that stuff. Could be wrong and its a misditect for some ttauma stuff but genrally authors make it more obiouse when its misdirects. Idk ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I know that the "best" solution would be to communicate, but do you really think Tei would feel better after saying what is on his mind? He will just feel like he is burdening Shuraka. Like let's look at his character and the beginning of chapter 19 where the author literally TELLS us that Tei feels the need to PROVE himself. Having to just ask Shuraka about this will just rub salt in the wound because he himself cannot do anything. The nature of their relationship has such a stark power difference where Tei is basically helpless. He knows he cannot be an equal to Shuraka, but he wants to at least be of help to Shuraka.
Yes, Tei is misunderstanding Shuraka, but at the same time, I feel like it falls more on Shuraka to be transparent from the beginning. Imagine your husband rejects your advances.... EVEN AT THE COST of his own health?????
I just wanted to say this because it's clear that Tei has literally been UPROOTED from his life (once again!) after ten years of NO CONTACT. He literally has no support system and is isolated. Even with Shuraka, how can he feel comfortable to confide in anyone??? How can he put trust into Shuraka? If Shuraka is rejecting his advances, but still brings him back to a far away empire, is it just out of obligation? Like..........I can't blame Tei at all
I genuinely hate that they included this kind of arc with this kind of character. It felt wrong considering
1) miura let ami, who he knows LOVES him, get close to him. It's not just a, she will be a normal friend, but she is consistently claiming to be a love RIVAL to uka, his gf. She is clearly trying TO date him by getting into a closer proximity to him, and everyone is telling uka that she's insecure?????? except her friends. Like bffr
2) ami literally sexually harassed miura by trying to kiss him w/o consent, HELLO???
3) why is ami using the rhetoric that uka "cant handle any girl being close to miura" when it's obvious that again, AMI IS TRYING TO STEAL HER BF AWAY FROM HER?? Of course any girl would be uncomfortable if there's someone that is SEXUALLY HARASSING HER BF AND TAKING PICTURES w/o consent. Like ??
I understand this is a high school setting and what not, but this behavior is actually repulsive and rlly annoying.
I honestly just wish that they talked more and that OUTSIDE parties wouldn't constantly interfere.
I dont get why yuhyeon built his negative perception of omegas on the omega his father regularly sleeps with. I get if it's different ppl all of the time, but it's clear that his father is with that one specific omega usually. regardless, i dont understand why he thinks he is in a different position than the omega his father sleeps with when he clearly also has his own sex partner that he enjoys having sex with. Like am i crazy???????????????????
I get that he wanted to be an alpha, but I feel like the character building doesn't make sense. Readers are missing a lot bc as it is, I genuinely dont think his characters internal complexes make any sense...
1) as an omega, he projects his disgust onto alphas and that alphas just want to take advantage of omegas
- Ok that makes sense, but how can he generalize hyundo into that too? esp after all they have been through? I feel like that has to be a bigger picture other than just seeing his dad with an omega...
- why would he feel disgust toward his father's omega partner?
Given that he feels disgust and repulse toward alphas, why does he feel that its omegas that are also disgusting
- is there something to unravel regarding his father's history ?
like when i think of it, yes, he can feel repulse simultaneously toward omegas and alphas, 1 for omegas having to lose reason and have sex, and 2, for alphas taking advantage of it. but alphas also go into rut ??? idk this all can feel slightly misogynistic at the end of the day given its an omegaverse LMFAO
2) based off of feeling repulse simultaneously toward omegas and alphas, I assume that maybe he just has repulsion toward sex in that regard, but CLEARLY he enjoys having sex. like it's definitely not out of just necessity for him. so like ??
ultimately his character feels fickle and for someone who is supposed to be very strong and upright in his principles, not much lines up..
I do agree that its unreasonable in that sense that he hated omegas before even getting his test results but i think that hate already was ingraved into him becs normally omegas aren't really liked or seen as equals and u know how little boys are with their thinking but him hating ALL alphas including his friend is unrealistic
That's a good point that I failed to recognize. He definitely could've been socialized to hold omegas in disdain, hence why he has such a bad inferiority complex being one. Even now, he doesn't really find power in being an omega, but rather, that being an omega shouldn't inhibit him from being the person he wants to be. He still views being an omega as burdensome, so I get that.
but yeah, hating all alphas (even his own father who is an alpha) is just kind of a weird conclusion to arrive to.
like the other person said, typically in omegaverse omegas are treated as inferior socially so you could assume the author wrote with the expectation that being ashamed of an omega trait is normal (you can see this given even the way his employees/business partners treat his position).
specifically in yuhyeon's case though , i think honestly that he suffers with something similar to internalised misogyny (whatever's the omega version of that) because he was raised expecting to be an alpha ceo, and if he was he'd have looked down on omegas just like everyone else does. i think because it didn't work out that way thats why he hates alphas - mostly because he's jealous that they're living the life he wants and then he also doesn't like how they treat omegas (him). and i think he just doesn't like omegas in general because they're "inferior".
but i don't think he's a malicious person for it or that it's a strange conclusion to come to, he's just conditioned that way. there are so many women just like him who hate men cause they wish they had the same autonomy while subconsciously hating on women because they're indirectly taught to and it's not an intentional/conscious choice. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yeah i get it... I think the main contradiction is that he hates on the omega his father sleeps with when it's clearly a mutual and consensual relationship while he also has his own sex partner (with no proper established label).
it's lwk my fault for expecting anything from omegaverse though cuz it genuinely is a genre that just feels like an extension of misogyny projected onto men.. LOL
i wanted to read this manhwa bc it was promoted as a green flag/ non -toxic couple, and it was!! it's insane how REFRESHING it was to see issues appear and get resolved basically immediately with proper communication between two GROWN adults. Despite each character having their own issues and unique personality, they are aware of them and can maturely go about it. I feel LIBERATED

when Shuraka put his hand to Tei's face, all of his rings match Tei in some capacity. The red rubies/gems being the exact same color as Tei's eyes, moreover the second ring literally just being black with a red gem. I'm sure given the vibe and presentation of Shuraka's culture thus far, it seems to value a lot of color and gold, so having a fully black band (w/red gem) is basically a testament of Shuraka's dedication to Tei.
