Ooh is it going to be a Merida (Disney's Brave) situation, where Tei will be fighting to become his own knight? Or even like a "I will be the king/Padisha's protector instead of having someone protect me" kinda thing? Seeing him practice with his sword in the same chapter that this tradition is mentioned kinda hints towards him joining the competition, possibly even in disguise ヾ(☆▽☆)
I mean, I understand Suou's frustrations, but it's not like he's actually tried to communicate with Sei at all. He keeps thinking about how Sei never shows any open interest or tries to initiate anything (which we then see is not true; he tried taking Suou's hand in ch6 but got shy when the traffic light changed), but all he says out loud is "don't do that/don't be close with other people," or snarky comments about "lmao wonder why i haven't been stabbed (by all the other people who must like you because of your constant flirting) yet ahaha," without actually explaining HOW Sei gets close to others or WHY it makes Suou feel upset. Sei can't magically change his behavior if he doesn't know what it is that's making Suou so frustrated...
next chapter is gonna be one hell of a ride for any Jaemin defender (⌒▽⌒)
I mean, your first reason should probably not be "I'm rejecting you because I'm dating Miyama," but rather "I'm rejecting you because you're my cousin," or maybe even "I'm rejecting you because I don't have feelings for you," but okay, I guess??
The way I would absolutely shit myself if my neurodivergent friend (not to mention family member) randomly told me with a deadpan expression "btw this guy's been happily touching and kissing me, and it's okay because he said that's what friends do," like I'm sorry but the uncle's reaction is 100% understandable when he has no additional information ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
there better be a proper redemption arc because i'm not down to read a return of The Lion, the Witch, and the Audacity of this Bitch starring Yandere Stalker Hyun Jaemin
(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
"Don't think you've won." Dunno what competition you think you're participating in, my guy, but if there ever was one, it ended before you even entered the picture.
┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
such an interesting and refreshing spin on omegaverse and dom/subverse, loved it! i'm just gonna ignore that attempted redemption of the coworker haha no one saw that haha it absolutely did not happen at all ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I swear, this story is so charged with emotions and yearning and love that my heart just feels so full every time I read even a single chapter of it ╥﹏╥
Well, that was... something. I kept hoping for a time-skip so it wouldn't be a high-schooler with a whole proper adult, because I kinda really liked the idea of Tsugura the supposed man-wh*re being swept off his feet and all, buuuuuut
oh well, Japan gonna Japan, I guess~
I feel like some people need to learn the difference between "confidence" and "conceit," because in this context, the girl leans heavily towards one of them more than the other.
it's kind of an odd translation, um, what he says in the original is more like a grouchy suggestion that "Ah so you would cheat with any other puppy, huh??" with "cheating" being used in the over-exaggerated sense of "paying attention to anyone else counts as cheating >:T"
it's not supposed to be meant as him accusing the Yoon Chi-young of anything weird ;;
Unless his naïveté and his cluelessness is all an act, I'm wondering if Guwon is either some kind of lab experiment or a zombie who somehow regained his human senses... him vomiting after kissing Jinwoo that one time, him not knowing what sex is, him being so clueless about basic moral concepts etc.. His name being Guwon, which literally means "redemption" or "salvation" in Korean, could imply that he was "made" to be a salvation for mankind and given that name as a designation, like some kind of genetically engineered soldier to fight against the zombies, with a side-effect being his strange grasp on morality...
... or maybe I'm just reaching and he's just insane ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Either way I'm here for the ride!
Kaii: I love you. I'll call you my beloved.
Asuka: I-is this... friendship???
bRUH I'M—
you know, i never get tired of the trope of "let's apologize to my would-be ASSAULTER for "getting him involved in this mess" when he was literally about to ASSAULT me and BITE me AGAINST MY WILL, no no, sure, let's just apologize to HIM as if HE'S somehow been wronged in all of this and not me"
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
so after checking out the novel........ i'd say we're in for another 20 chapters or so before they finally sort their shit out and admit to each other (and to themselves) that maybe possibly they just might have caught some kinda feelings.... ._.
this entire story could be summed up by "miscommunication on steroids" istg
I'm guessing Kotani has some kind of trauma related to marriage... something like his parents' marriage was really bad and their divorce traumatized him so now he never wants to get married himself, which, okay, sure, but then he shouldn't have gotten involved with Shishikura's marriage interview/date thing with the nerd alpha in the first volume. Sure, he loves Shishikura and that's why he did it, but holy crap is it selfish to try and screw with someone else's chances for marriage, only to then go "oh yeah btw i'm never gonna marry u lol"
dude in chapter 2 is like "I would never force you to do something you didn't like" as if he didn't manipulate the mc into dating him in the first place, like bro.... why is the mc moved by this???
