Instead of being mature and asking the other party their dumbass pride got in the way and at this point the Happy Ending is for them to get actually divorced permanently. There's just no trust in this relationship, truly think they should not be together because they can't find security in each other. So you're telling after all the ghosting he did to her and which she rightfully blocked him after trying to communicate and he just kept ignoring her, he then decides he's going to forget about her BUT she by chance lives next door so he decides to harass her to date him again ALL because it's just sooo convenient cuz she's next door.
He could've found her and tried to reconnect this WHOLE time, he knows where she lived before she went to college, he could've gotten in contact with her somehow but no, cuz he's a selfish prick. But when she somehow moved in next to him he decides it's "fate" and stalks her everwhere. If he cared enough, he would've. Clearly he doesn't and now that things are convenient for him he just decides to go for it.

YES YES YES. Literally I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I disliked the ML bc he never communicated with the FL and instead ghosted her which pissed me off. Our FL should’ve pushed him away way more after how he treated her but I knew she wouldn’t bc he was her first love after all.
