I think Hoseob is a fully grown adult, especially since he's older than Jeongwon too (and with being the boss in his own Judo so he has some self confidence in himself at least as a leader and as an individual). He is innocent in bdsm, but I think he can be really straightforward with his feelings when it is necessary. It is portrayed through their first huge fight how mature and calm he was with addressing his feelings and, in fact, was capable of conveying it to Jeongwon comfortably. (He did take his time to convey it tho but I think it is better to take his time comprehending his feelings with reasoning rather than just diving right into a hard conversation when he doesn't even know why he's feeling the way he is. It helps both people to navigate what happened and what to do better in the future like that) (I am specifically remembering when Hoseob was pacing around for a week, I think, just trying to figure what to say, how to address it to Jeongwon without causing misunderstandings. Not during a play necessarily)
Thus, I think Hoseob would be more aware of what his limits are and my impression would be that he would voice it out when something IS overwhelming, even during a play. He is an emphatic person so he tends to delve deep into Jeongwon's words and feelings, and I thought his excitement with Jeongwon's jealousy hinted that Hoseob was enjoying it even as he was thinking hard on Jeongwon's words (and it was their daily play too, so I thought Hoseob wasn't necessarily anxious, but just caring about Jeongwon's jealousy)
And tbh Jeongwon would've immediately stopped if Hoseob had expressed any discomfort during a play. He even does check-ins by reminding Hoseob that he can let him know if it's too much or that he wants to stop. And he did came to check on Hoseob 10 minutes earlier than he said he would so... I thought Jeongwon was paying attention to Hoseob's body language and keeping check if he was pushing him or not
And Jeongwon, from what I remember at least, has always been the type to bottle up his feelings rather than admitting it. But after that big fight, he's been expressing his feelings, as bare minimum as it is, but I think it's understandable when it's still new for him to express it after closing his heart with the ex situation.
It could be unnecessary to express during a play, but it can be very exciting for a DS couple to sort through jealousy (and only petty, silly jealousy rather than an insecure, chronic jealousy type) during a play. It depends on the couple obviously, but I think that Hoseob likes it to a certain degree rather than just feeling forced into it
And Jeongwon is a dominant sadist. So, the feet on the head is really just a play rather than venting to Hoseob from I could tell. If he really was venting his frustrations, I don't think that he would just leave Hoseob alone. Like, if he was venting through a play, he can overwhelm Hoseob by force with toys or even force him into something that is outside of Hoseob's comfort rather than what Hoseob seems very interested in
It is still my opinion of the dynamic between the two, but I hope this could give a different perspective for others who are being a bit hard on Jeongwon
And thanks for coming to my Ted Talk lololol
my meaning of:
petty, silly jealousy = jealous over anyone who touches, smiles, or even just stares at their partner. would make claims of wanting them all to to themselves but doesn't actually lock them up or make them cut off contact with everyone
insecure, chronic jealousy = gets crazy insecure when their partner even breathe the same air as another random npc and attempts to lock the partner up and basically human abuse and imprisonment the partner and will most likely injure the partner with the intent to hurt them as much as they want rather than for the partner, let alone consensually like bdsm
I'm not even the one who is getting assaulted BUT WHAT THE FUCK
I literally felt my stomach drop and my whole body freezing up to the point that my neck hurts like hell from the amount of tension my body was under from seeing Uimyeong being groped by that ASSHAT UGH
And translator team, I love you guys but damn that note shot my heart before being revived by the fact that it was just a hiatus
The fact he reacted the EXACT SAME WAY every time he first met his angel, Yeon, is killing me ; ;
Even though it goes against fate or bring misfortunes, only with Yeon can he actually feel complete and human. Humans are all about the joy and sadness of living. The painful ache in your heart only makes it grow fonder and appreciate the good things more than ever. Like, Kihoon yearns for that intensity that not even his fiery soul could make so he always just ends up being so magnetized by his angel
And I shall cry in a corner cause damnit, Kihoon, you're too stupidly adorable for putting Yeon above your own wants cause he just loves his angel that much
edit:
Honestly tho, I should also add that Yeon loves Kihoon just as much since he still wants Kihoon to thrive to his full potential. And what's even sadder is the fact Yeon chose to keep his memories together with Kihoon because I think he wants to cherish and preserve the moment that they had together. But this also means he has to live with the agony of longing for the one he loves
DAMNIT THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCHHH MY BABIESSSS ;;;
The plot thickens and it's getting more sure that Sarang had potentially committed suicide or was murdered!
I still don't think she was murdered because there is no one for me that comes to mind that would kill Sarang over Taemin. Like... I would believe it more if it was Sarang who killed someone over Taemin tbh (⊙…⊙ ) Not even Taemin's girl friend who was Sarang's "rival" could be the killer... cause she straight up accused that Taemin was lying having a gf to reject her indirectly when she was drunk so like... wouldn't make sense to me tbh
But it's really interesting that Jungha (Mr. Hot Shaman) seemed certain, in a sense, that it wasn't Taemin who killed Sarang. I mean, with how Sarang is acting when it comes to Taemin.... it's obvious who is the danger between the two lol but makes me curious why he would think so~ Especially considering he seemed scared of Taemin but still acknowledge the fact that Taemin wouldn't stoop so low either.
And finally, Taemin's ability to persevere the misfortune despite having a monstrous grudge latched onto him. It is definitely heavily related to his family background, especially when Taemin did mention about how everything he cares seemed to disappear from him. It feels like Taemin is cursed to be loved until it kills them, if that makes sense. Taemin will live to the fullest but anyone who approaches him, for some reason, will end up getting the misfortune that he should be getting. Like, getting addicted (Sarang's obsession), death, etc.
I feel like it's a stretch but it would be interesting if that was really the case! Cause it makes me wonder why and how Taemin was cursed. Is it just his destined fate? Past life? Or just someone cursed him out of hatred for how much he is loved? So many theories! But I'm rambling a lot already so this is the end of my ted talk lolol
Art (Consistent & Highly Skilled?) = Yes, it is absolutely gorgeous (10/10)
Storytelling (Is it understandable?) = Yes (8/10)
Plot = Just Why (0/10)
Recommendation = Not worth it (like seriously, 0/10)
Elaboration; The art is 10/10 BUT the plot genuinely got worse the more the story progresses and it is not recommended for people who expected the usual toxic because this? This was a mistake to exist (only writing wise — the art is still top tier).
Of course, if you're only interested about good art with sexy smut scenes, then by all means, this manhwa can be an eye candy for your eyes. If you're here for the plot tho, I wouldn't recommend this at all. Not even the usual toxic manhwas are this... questionable.
And I'll add this here too; the reason why I said the plot is bad, because of the inconsistency of the characters' characteristics. For example, the ML was portrayed and claimed to be possessive of MC but somehow in someway... he was sharing MC around. And the usual toxic would just end when MC was getting nearly assaulted before ML would assault him instead because 'possessive man' concept, but nope, let us make him be into NTR all of the sudden when he was supposed to be a character who is unhealthy possessive with a sadism kink (and no, sadism doesn't magically mean the person is into NTR as well). The characteristics inconsistency would've been fine if it was just a little bit, but it kept on happening to the point that even I wondered why I was even trying to continue reading this with the hope that it'll get better at some point.
In the end, I'm dropping it. I just wanna write this personal take so that if there are readers like me who wants to persevere... please save your bits of sanity and read a different toxic manhwa that has a actual plot, okay? ( T﹏T )
I know right! Even Painter of the Night, a toxic manhwa, the ML only tolerated when someone else kissed MC in front of him (and the situation context was ML punishing MC) and then he regretted it and he punched that other person the moment that person's hand hovered over the lower area. That's how an unhinged yet possessive ML should've been portrayed, or at least have some kind of repulsed reaction seeing his literal obsession being touched by someone else
1. Sarang and Taemin did date when they were in their freshmen year.
2. Judging by how Taemin was shouting, they were probably having an argument which lead to their breakup (since Taemin seemed to be confused about Sarang's death)
3. Sarang committed suicide because she feels like her life is meaningless now that she's not with Taemin anymore (since she claimed she can die happy now that she's with him, so it's not impossible she would think about dying when they're no longer together. After all, she seemed obsessed with Taemin)
edit: I wanna add a little bit more theory after reading more of other people's take on this!
4. If it is true that Taemin broke up with Sarang before she died, then it would make sense as to why he didn't know about her death. Like, his close friend mentioned how he had never introduced Sarang when they were dating so no one got the chance to be in contact with her, let alone know she passed away. And it's been years since Taemin last heard about her too (approximately; 2-4 years)
5. For some reason tho, Sarang knows about ALL of Taemin's friends (literally from the first scene of her, she was following Taemin's closest friend to the hospital..) which means she was very interested in his social circle. Of course, Taemin could've told her all about his friends, but considering how Taemin has the tendency to be reserved... I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't tbh
6. The possible breakup! I wanna assume it was because of Taemin's girl friend that became the final trigger to the whole thing. It was already bad enough that she wasn't being introduced (and probably because she was mentally unstable to the point that she was being destructive to everyone including herself), now there's a girl who is flirting with Taemin despite knowing he has a gf
7. This one is gonna be a stretch but... I really think Taemin has a weird fetish... of liking mentally unstable women. It doesn't matter if they're older or younger, he finds the mentally unstable aspect to be a turn-on. I am basing on the scene where he first described about Hee-mang (MC) and he mentioned about how she looks mentally unstable and bro became more attracted to her in that moment lol. But it does make me wonder why he would breakup with Sarang tho
8. Other possiblity, they didn't breakup exactly, only had a massive argument but it wrecked Sarang enough to die. Thus explains why Taemin's initial reaction to the mention of his ex was a mixture of guilt and hurt that she suddenly "ghosted" him, but still seem to think of her fondly and was sad when he found out she passed away later on.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk wwww

I wanna apologize first and foremost for sounding dismissive about Hoseob's feelings of anxiousness from my previous comment here. Rereading it, I do realize that I sounded very naggy and aggressive about it
I do believe that it could be true, especially in the next chapter and so forth, that Hoseob just wants to please Jeongwon and not ruin the mood. And that's why he's not addressing the discomfort or concern that he has in the moment. And also why he's not using the safeword either and crawled to Jeongwon despite the tight binds were hurting him
I really wanna let the ones who read my comment know that I really didn't mean to make it seem like your opinion was wrong when I went with "I think some people are forgetting..." I was rude in the way I was writing that so I am very sorry for my stupidity. I should've started with, "Hoseob seems like a fully grown adult to me..." This could've been way better than being sassy about it, I really am sorry, I feel bad TT (I am gonna edit my previous comment after this too)
I first saw only comments that were the opposite of my opinion when I finished reading the latest chapter, so I thought writing how I interpreted would have anyone who reads my comment a different perspective of the situation, especially on Jeongwon
Am I for sure right? Hell nah lol
So, it's okay to disagree. I think it's cool to have a little push and pull with our opinions. But reading how I was being dismissive and just glossing over the impact Jeongwon can have on Hoseob, got me rereading my comment and realize that I was more mean than I thought
Again, I really am sorry for being rude and aggressive before.
My personal opinion still remains the same: I don't interpret Hoseob as anxious necessarily cause I think he's aware of his feelings as a fully grown adult and he's caring about his partner reasoning I've written before, and that Jeongwon isn't really undermining Hoseob's feelings. He still is horrible at initiating at talking about his feelings, but he's trying to make a change (as bare minimum as it is. I just relate to the struggle in initiating a difficult convo, especially about my feelings with my partner tbh, that's why I think he is at least trying for Hoseob in the little ways he can for now).
It is just my interpretation of the story and character. I'm sure I will change my mind in the next chapter. I shall now go and edit my previous comment. Thank you for reading this far tho and truly sorry for upsetting anyone with my previous comment
Excuse me chat whaaaattt... Your paragraph is longer and more serious than a lot of youtubers apology videos just WHAT have you wrote in there and what was the response that youre having such regrets
Σ(  ̄□ ̄||)
girl...calm down....ignore others...in the end of the day we all just reading yaoi...i don't think anyone would get angry about ur opinion..in fact i think that whatever u said is super valid.
Yeah icl it did feel pretty uncomfortable
dw bestie we got what you mean!! and you're right, they're both consenting adults and mistakes are just bound to happen but it's fine
babes it's alright we're quite literally on mangago
lololol, nothing too offensive to say the least. It was mainly about Hoseob being a capable adult so he should know his own limits (like saying the safeword if he really doesn't like it and Jeongwon listening yada yada) and that he doesn't seem necessarily anxious to me (but the new chap is definitely changing my perspective now cause holy ( ̄∇ ̄")) But I didn't mentioned that it was my interpretation and it ended up sounding like I was telling other people that they're wrong so yeah, that's why I wanted to apologize
hopefully no one did! I was just dismissive and I don't feel good with just leaving it at that so yeah
But thank you tho!
yeah, I'm sorry about that ( ̄∇ ̄")
thank you!
with the recent chapter tho, I wanna retract what I said tbh cause holy everything escalated real fast! Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
╥﹏╥ yeahh
