- jaeyoung used to be in an idol group called dream boy. we don't know the details yet, but there was some big incident that led to the group disbanding and jaeyoung taking on a bunch of debt.
- jun is the sketchy member from dream boy who dealt with drugs, including a highly addictive drug called "happy". this drug can cause euphoria, but it can also completely shut down someone's emotions or paralyze someone, even with a single use. jaeyoung tried to get jun to leave a party with drugs, when jun drugged jaeyoung with happy, leading to his emotions getting impaired. jun also used the drug to paralyze an undercover cop a few chapters ago. he is now returning to korea from the US. jun also gave jaeyoung the stage name "happy", after the drug, bc he's a POS.
- yoosung, the maknae of dream boy with the spiky brown hair, is the only member besides jaeyoung and jun who seems to have some clue as to what went down--hence him asking whether hyesung (brown hair and eyes, freckles, cats) would be okay with a reunion without all the members. he's the one from jeju who's wearing a hoodie in bed and playing with a plushie in ch 37. there's also a red-haired member i'm forgetting any details about.
- seungmin, our ML, also has the stage name happy. he's from brazil. he and his sister have been sneaking around in the background, clearly investigating the drug and people involved with it. in ch 37, we find out it might be bc their dad might have been involved with distributing the drug, and their dad went missing.
