Nothing better like an opening to catching your ‘light’ suck someone off in the office building, right?
The story was actually touching, something I wouldn’t usually expect from shorter Manhwas. Young suffering from survivor guilt and suicide ideation was portrayed so realistically. Unlike most plots, it’s not merely glossed over. It persists and eats you alive constantly. A sensitive topic that no other Manhwas I’ve read has really portrayed or developed well enough to actually have it merge so seamlessly with a character’s suffering.
I also really enjoyed the parallel in how Yoobin and Young saved each other, and hearing Yoobin regret falling actually hit closer to home for me. It’s an excruciating to feel like you’re nothing but a burden to your family to the point where ending everything is the only right decision you can make. The same can be sad for young after losing so much due to him being complacent, the remorse for not spending more time or having done something differently must’ve tore at him constantly.
I’m just really happy they both have each-other.
A few things I didn’t really enjoy was:
1.) The Chairman not referring to Hana’s mother as family and Hana’s mother ONLY referring to the Chairman as a lingering memory of her late husband. There’s no familial love or bond I’m sensing there, at least, not from the lines I’m reading.
2.) Sangwook’s constant guilt trip, verbal harassments and victim mindset is really off putting to me. When I read the earlier chapters, I thought he was going to be a pal, in the end, he was but a manipulative and cunning arsehole. Young took the blame for him once, so he thinks Young can solve every bullshit he gets himself into. He refers to that as a ‘brotherly’ bond, which isn’t the case entirely. Juha’s ( forgive me if I got his name wrong)’s and Enseo’s death were never explicably elaborated upon but I wouldn’t put it past Sanwook to have them murdered. The guy has some sort of dependency on Young and he’s even admitted that he would use anything as a leverage to hold him at his side. I do admit he probably did care for Young, but got lost somewhere in resentment and purpose, still not ANY excuse to act the way he did.
3.) The constant responsibility Young had to bear—from the policeman saying (A) “you’re partially responsible for why Sanwook turned out the way he did” and (B) “we’re relying on your guilt”. Let’s talk about (A), Young is in no way responsible for what an adult chooses to do with his life. He should have never touched drugs or at least tried to come clean himself. Young shouldn’t have been blamed or held liable for what Sanwook chose to do with his life or his affiliations.. and the fact that the policeman said this to him was appalling. Now, for (B)—-How are you going to leverage someone’s conscience into helping you exercise your obligations? You ‘care’ for Sangwook’s critical position against the Cartel but have you no sympathy against this poor man who’s lost his ‘brother’? How can you even look him in the eye and demand that of him. It disgusts me that the policeman had such little regard for a person’s emotion. The chairman isn’t any better either, the 2 billion won was bare minimum for what he had underwent and still, he had to suffer another emotional binding because of the chairman’s own regret? It really felt like Yoobin was the only one trying not to add to his shackles.
4.) Lastly, I didn’t like how Choi Young, Eunseo and Juha’s death were glossed over. They could’ve developed it a bit more but it felt like it was just there not even as plot but just plot filling. Enseo and Juha seemed like sunshines too, it’s a shame they had to die so young.
Nonetheless, these are my takes and I would still recommend this to anyone looking for a healing read.

Plot wise, this whole Manhwa is just a mixture of all kinds of fetishes/kinks and honestly, I don’t think anyone should waste their precious time reading these 99% of rape trope.
I regret reading even chapter 1, wish this could be wiped from the BL community because HOLY TRASH.

I’ve a lot to say, and nothing is bad.
Initially, I didn’t really think I’d enjoy this series as much as I did. I ended up finishing this in one day which surprised me. I remember dropping this years ago because I couldn’t really understand, now that I’m older and picked it up again, I’m really glad I didn’t miss out on this masterpiece.
It’s heavy, light, wholesome and bittersweet all packed into one which makes the story and characters feel more vibrant and alive.
I liked that the trope of the shifting the werewolves had and how Ein and Minsuk both had different perspectives when their lovers turn into wolves. It really emphasized how different the characters think and how they can effect those around them by sharing perspectives.
I’ve nothing bad to say about the plot either, it’s not something light-hearted. It’s full of meaningful lessons towards the epitome of life. The characters itself are as sexy and surreal as the art style itself—I really enjoyed this semi-realism the Artist portrayed—it made me feel like I’m not just reading smut, I’m reading love-making—especially with the pace, touch and tone used.
Lastly, I unexpectedly enjoyed the sides—it was a touching emphasize that brought us closer to Ein and Leto’s love and individuality. I inadvertently love the trust and longing they hold for each other. It was a sweet treat to see Bexan and Minsuk pop up towards the final 2 chapters too!
Also, a side note; Bexan and Leto have the most hilarious friendship I’ve seen in a while. When in danger—Leto darts first to protect Bexan while he stands there helplessly but when Minsuk is in danger, Bexan shields him with all he’s got. Hoes before bros, my guy. This isn’t to say Bexan doesn’t care for Leto—he’s nowhere near as combat-trained as he is so it’d make sense he’s not doing anything. I adore the fact that even when told to keep running, he still found a way to seek help for Leto. Not to mention he’s constantly checking in on Leto after their separation.
The same Vice versa, in the last 2 chapter, Leto tells Ein to stock up on the mango ice cream for Bexan but when they meet they start bickering. It’s an absolutely amusing and lovable friendship these two goofballs have. The fact that Ein and Leto was able to be more open to Minsuk and Bexan showed they’ve truly come a long way and regard them as friends.
10/10, would recommend someone to read!

I really enjoyed the fact that this story has a very niche category and how the story evolved. The characters were really unique and memorable as well.
However, the story--specifically towards the climax and conclusion was underwhelming given it's superb opening. I felt that a lot of the characters and the storyline was glossed over, for example; Lyka running away all of a sudden, H20 managing to injure bessy, Coral Reef's supposed betrayal, the other packs that were in rivalry for resources in 'The Forest', Blue Sky's backstory--H20 and The Alpha's relationship, the parents' deaths which I believe the mother's demise has yet to be explained and so much more.
Some specific traits that drove the character to act the way they did was also rather simplistic too, it seemed as if it was just there to progress the story and not really development--especially H20's towards the end. Mans was OBSESSED and he just gave up like that?
I personally think that there could have been more to the story. It would've been nice to see Helm settle in 'The Forest' truly and reconstruct the base together-- especially given how he had managed to find some sort of bio-organism that could purify radiation. I also believe there should be consequences for H20 for his deception to the Arks. It's quite brushed over--after the truth was revealed, I was full on expecting WAR or some sort of retaliation but the best we got was an explosion and suddenly all fades to black.
It's saddening to see a plot with great potential end so abruptly. Nonetheless, these are just my personal takes after reading but I will still recommend it as a read for anyone interested.
