Okay this is a very very weird adaptation. I read the novel and the manhwa doesn’t depict the eerieness or the mystery in the novel. They have this weird back and forth pacing too. The first chapter is adapted from chp 12-14 ish, The scene where the ml killed the beast and fcked the knight happened before the first chapter (he dgaf about mc and fcked his attendant instead), scene where mc was scared by the cross is in chp 2 in novel etc. it’s a really odd choice bc the manhwa missed all the lore and the reasons why both mc and ml acted like that. For example the tavern scene happened before ml drank mc’s blood. The reason why mc ask to spend the night with the prettiest person was bc he love pretty things and he saw the red hair courtesan in the tavern. But the cat brought the prince instead. Idk why the storyboard changed drastically, the pace is too fast.

also their characters changed a lot. The mc is not as goofy as this. They also didn’t adapt how annoying and demanding the cats are. Tbh it’s better to just read the novel. The artstyle doesn’t fit with the story either. I’m not saying the art is bad, it’s good but I think artstyles like stepmother marchen, secret lady, i tamed my ex husband’s mad dog would fit it better

Maybe i’m a minority but i feel like the art is so much better at the beginning. From chapter 20ish to the end their faces become longer and eyes getting bigger. It makes them looks uncanny esp yeonwoo but anyway, the story is just very mid. It’s not as bad as ppl in the comment said but it’s also not good at all. If i can score it’s 4,5/10. Both the leads are frustrating and idiots.

Yeonwoo was promising at the start, like he actually can stood his ground and call out keith’s bullshit but then he’s suddenly stupid in love and naive. Like i get why he’s mad keith is kissing the attendant but at the same time you don’t have the right to get angry. You’re not keith’s bf. Idk how his ass assume they’re dating when keith literally dgaf about his confession. Mind you keith doesn’t do anything to show that he’s in love with yw like bro are you stupid Also his reaction to keith’s mother is so disturbing?? Wdym you see someone talk about their biological mother getting locked up, abused and the supposed son talk about chaining the mom and that he’s a nuisance for trying to run from his abuser,and you don’t feel creeped out? Don’t feel panic? Yw stupid as hell.

Don’t even start on keith. Man is just a scum lol. His view toward omegas is disturbing. It’s like seeing a misogynist in real life so it’s repulsing. And somebody need to run a test on him. He keep changing partners like this man a horndog he’s insane. He can’t last a week without sex like brother… ik your circumstances but i think you’re just a sex addict. The only mvp in this story is josh and dane istg. I only read this for josh lol. Oh also i noticed in kmiyc the doctor admit he knows chase didn’t fuck the dog but in here he’s spreading rumor to yw about some alphas can fuck a dog when in rut? If i was chase i would be crashing out daily too tbh

Ngl i be tweaking everytime everyone in the story said yoohan is plain looking. Like bro wdym he’s gorgeous!! This feels like izuku situation all over again anyway this is a very good story, the author succeeds making the readers want to punch the villains and yoohan is a really great character. Though i’m gonna be honest i’m not really liking jay. He’s a good character at the start!! But he’s slowly turning really annoying esp since he keep forcing himself to yoohan and threatening him. He also never listens to yoohan’s nonstop rejection during sex so i can’t get into their supposed romantic dynamic. It’s still a good read tho! 4/5

Yk what this might be my favorite execution of amnesia arc in a story. It’s not a simple ‘haha i lost my memory so i’m different’ but the author actually delve into the feeling of the currently amnesiac person with how others treated them. Like yes it must be horrible seeing everyone close to you wished the new you to disappear and the old you to come back. it’s like nobody accept and like the current you and prefer the other version. And that must be hurt. I aint gonna lie i feel so sad when 18 yo vasily asked yuno to make a funeral to him when he’s gone.

Also i really like that they address the problems with their relationship. Im gonna be real it’s rare to see the uke making rl mistake, it’s always the seme. So it’s refreshing here that both people have their own faults

okay so my theory is uncle is the one killing sihan’s dad. Since the mythical creature only has one kid, his existence is deemed as an accident. So he doesn’t have any power or categorized as a spirit. That’s why he killed sihan’s dad and the spirit status is transferred to him.

I think he tried to kill the future generations of the mythical creatures, or manipulate them so he could control them. He’s getting rid of the powerful one first, the one who’s potentially become the future leader. He chose to remove the boar, and now change his target to ran. I feel like his plan is to make ran harm a human, and i fear ran will accidentally harm geuru in the future and it’ll make sihan get so angry at him and thus refuse to listen to ran’s explanation, choosing to side with his uncle. The moment when ran ask doeon what would he do if he lost his memory is giving foreshadowing tbh.

I can’t wait for season 2 aaah. I want to see ran falling in love quickly before doeon had to marry someone else
