I’ve read this about 3 times to completion and even finished the novel (which tbh is better and has more backstory and flushes out the ending wayyyy better). This story scratches an inch for a completely irredeemable, possessive, unhinged, bat shit crazy male lead. No he doesn’t get a redemption arc, and MC continues to be a cutie pie pushover. Very toxic story but exactly what I read when I need a pallet cleanser from all the fluffy stuff I read. Lol like ngl if you continue to read the story after the first 10 chapters then wtf do you expect the male lead to act like LOL. Not defending him but you kinda get the gist of what he’s like VERY early on in the story. Read if you want toxic leave if you’re expecting anything else.

Where do you read the novel? :O

question, i’m thinking abt ready this and i’m all for toxicity but physical abuse is lowkey where i draw the line, specifically if it’s constant. so i just wanted to know, does the ML abuse the MC? if so, is it like a one time thing or to the point where it’s “habitual?”

I dont really see it as abuse personally. Like red flag ya but many of the things that he done to MC is because MC is too dumb to heed his warnings and crossed the line too many times that's why he punishes MC using force but never going too far. He treated MC really well when MC didn't cross the line that he sets (such as working in a part time job that pays very little when he have already given MC his credit card to spend whenever he wants etc)

I can understand why MC could be wary but legit bro been trying to uplift his life since he started being possessive. He didn't even confine MC and allows him to go out, just that he doesn't like MC meeting with people without him knowing which could be solved by MC being honest and just sending him a text that he is meeting a friend etc

If you see ML as someone with a set of strict but not too unreasonable rules that must not be crossed and he have already given multiple chances to never cross him (crossing him = disrespecting him) and yet you kept doing it and it's like poking a stick at a Lion multiple times and then crying when it bites you...

Forgot to say that I'm more frustrated at MC than ML. ML never even wanna hit MC but as I've said MC kept crossing his strict rules that MC should already know yet he kept doing it. But whenever things does get somewhat physical he is soft hearted and stops whenever MC started crying

I’ve let this story simmer for some time now, so I wouldn’t have to wait for so many chapters. I have no idea how to process what I’ve just read. This is so wonderfully written. THIS is how you write a psychological story with layered characters and depth. I came so close to crying throughout reading this but couldn’t stop. Love how realistic trauma is betrayed and the author didn’t sugarcoat the failure of the many adults in their lives. It’s not a simple “Dohun SA’d him so fuck him he’s a shit character” he’s not a good person and there’s no excusing what dohun did (because trauma doesn’t excuse SA ) but it doesn’t make me NOT hurt for him any less oh my god. There are nuances to things - and his backstory completely reveals a man that never grew up from his childhood trauma. He’s still that baby in that basement ;—;. Yeonwoon ….my god. The author did a good job showcasing his backstory too and I’m just hurting for both them. I’m not picking this back up until it’s done. This story is going to stick with me for a very long time.

Kinda boring honestly? Started off strong and then became eeeeeehhhhh. I finished it because the chapters were short and it was only 30 chapters. I didn’t really feel anything for the characters - even the asshole male lead didn’t seem like much of an asshole to me? I didn’t feel enough for him to hate him at all. He was kind of a dick in the beginning though. I’m pretty sure I’m going to forget I read this entirely lmao

I literally felt myself clenching while reading this. It wasn’t just the amazing illustrations but the top tier dirty talk as well. Well written yandere.

I LOVEEE THIS STORY. Lately everything I've read seemed so boring and sub-par but this literally ignited my yaoi obsession again. Everything from the art to the characters is <33. The story isn't deep or anything but it's very subtle in a way that makes you want to keep reading? You can feel the emotions with each expression.
