My friend is the one who told me I'll like this manhwa and so far(I'm at chapter 41) I really fricking love it. But lister pisses me off to unbearable degrees, he's such a confusing character, one moment he's all blushing and worried and the next he's literally sexually assaulting sylhan and it's like???

If you like the dude why are you so agressive with him just because he became a slave? Such an asshole egotistical freak! Another thing I admire is sylhans character, he may seem weak by appearance but he has a strong will and stays true to himself and defends himself against lister and his behavior.

Gjord is also such a good character too, although I didn't really like him at first cause he was being so persistent despite sylhan telling him that he really doesn't remember but now I came to sort of admire his dedication towards protecting sylhan basically.

So far it's an amazing BL I'd hope everyone would read and enjoy as much as I am.

I knew it! Mr.Kim is one hell of a pedophile. I already sensed his creepiness from the first chapter we saw him in! He groomed Ahn Yeseung into trusting him so he could violate him.

I'm not being too much when I say that for the future I really hope Mr.Kim ends being the one getting raped, not just raped but gang raped too. He deserves to feel the exact type of pain and humiliation he puts Yeseung and potentially the other people who lost in the match like the other dude.

The fuck really needs to get the worst type of torture imaginable, he needs his dignity and worth stripped away, maybe even post the video of him getting raped so that the whole world knows of it too, because someone as pathetic and twisted as him don't deserve any sort of sugarcoating.

There is nothing more I wish than to see rapists get the same treatment they give their victims but times ten, the pain they suffer, the humiliation they went through and the weakness they've felt. Yeseung again, probably has a reason to stick around with Mr.Kim definitely something like grooming a helpless Yeseung into trusting him to do whatever he wants.

I have never felt such HATRED towards a character like this where it's to the point that I pray that the author actually listens to my thoughts and makes them true(as in Mr.Kim getting raped and tortured for what he's done)

Okay so, I will be giving my honest review on it because a lot of people seem to be very media illiterate when it comes to “dark romance” tropes and this story.

Listen: You can make a dark romance trope, shocker, WITHOUT rape or molestation or downright pedophilia . That’s not normal. And if you are a proshipper or one of those “don’t like , don’t read” people theres probably no point in you reading this anyway because your excuse is just going to be “fiction doesn’t affect reality” when it has been disproved multiple times. I’m not trying to argue on the basis of proshipping so please just go. Don’t claim to be some psuedo-intellectual with that bullshit argument. I don’t want to further argue with people okay with rape incest pedophilia, okay.

Thats not to say to attack anyone who enjoys this. There are a bunch of comedic aspects to this story. There’s no point in attacking or harassing anybody, it doesn’t solve anything.

As a fujoshi/fudanshi (idgaf) who enjoys reading BL, even dark romance BLs when done correctly, you are able to create BL works without the need to make it about rape, one sided abuse where the other one is clearly suffering (in this case, the bottom).
If you just read rape and pedophilia as “dark romances” it really says something about you morally as a person and how literate you probably actually are.

That being said, I found this funny at the beginning and when the guy initially kidnapped him, I found it very funny and interesting because of the over the top expressions, nice artstyle and humorous tone of dark themes played carefully.Then, it just went all into shit and kept being repetitive, and abusive and the bottom clearly expresses huge disgust, fear, loneliness. You see how he is being trapped and the top clearly uses him to his advantage. It could be considered alright if the bottom also had the same advantage, but he doesnt. He really does not. He is just able to beat and scream at the guy and thats it . Which yes this can also be done right and played well, if the bottom had an actual way out. But he barely doesn’t.

And one of the worst parts is the six year old act which Im so surprised nobody called this out for being so weird and downright pedophilic because the ML literally tries to continually get turned on even when this guy acts like a six year old. It’s extremely creepy and weird how he talks to him like a baby and still be turned on and plan to do lewd and sexual acts. That is extremely creepy and anybody who enjoys this, Im going to assume you’re just into pedophilia especially on a 6 YEAR OLD?? Mentality?? I dont know how someone goes and says “ yeah thats so hilarious” maybe the expressions and art can show its humorous, but please guys you gotta think beyond that. Enjoy comedy while understanding at least some shit happening.

Dubcon, Noncon is all rape, it’s so hard to find BLs without the no consent factor becayse thats not how love works at all. Good dark romances are able to manipulate factors of power dynamics, pushing boundaries while maintaining a both mutually sick twisted minds (I can recommend Shutline for example so far although its still ongoing) with mutual control, mutual abuse, mutual toxicity and mutual understanding of the fucked up dynamics of it all.
Its a way better way of portraying dark romances as it allows wriggle room for a possibility of a better romance being able to be formed in these plots. Its an overall better writing strategy too. It actually enables you to think about the characters, dynamics, chemistry, etc:
The only reason people and readers seem to be so fine about it because of the constant jokes around it. But if you really think about it this guy gets raped and its treated like its funny? This guy has to act like a 6 year old and still gets told to do weird pedophillic stuff and its funny? Wheres the joke? Whats the punchline?

TL;DR: This isnt a dark romance. Its just rape and weird pedophilia innuendos. I could give less of a shit if the kidnappers mentally unwell because rape is still rape. Make dark romances tropes not this one sided miserable abuse rape stuff dressed up as “comedy” “romace” . You can create dark romances with toxicity, manipulation, power imbalances, etc without the need for rape or this kind of abuse.

There's been so many times where I've had more interest and like towards the side couples of BL manhwas than the main, is it just me? But I really think lots of side couples have a more interesting dynamic than the main.

I really liked this storyline,I still do, the only issue is the author consistently being unable to show what rape truly looks like in the hands of the victim. I think the artist is talented enough to show the dread and discomfort rape victims feel in the moment.

But, I also want to say that the reason it's not being portrayed as fearful is due to some sort of grooming, it's been a while since I read the first season but I'm pretty sure that yeseung has a habit of defending his boss, he doesn't seem to truly see what so wrong with the fact that the models Mr.Kim sculpted were all using his body, and even felt surprised at Gyeols reaction of disgust towards the sculptures and painting rather than what I assume he probably gets(a positive reaction, possibly from his boss)

This is just a poorly made grooming and rape victim that the author could've done better, Yeseung knows and feels the discomfort and fear that his boss is putting him through, but he can't exactly tell what it is, and we still don't really know about his past, it could be that yeseung was in a tight spot and mr.kim helped him out financially hence why yeseung has said(I might be quoting this from my ass) that he owes it to him, he can't seem to leave nor escape his boss because he is tied to the one good thing he had done which was likely done to manipulate yeseung into submitting to him.

Mr.kim clearly seems to be an egotistical man, the likely reason he constantly rapes the boxers is to fuel his hunger of being the one with the upper hand, making everyone that isn't him fear him and submit to him. It the reasoning behind real life rapes too, where the rapist only does the crime to feel powerful and in control. The author just seemed to suddenly lose her sense of writing because she could've done this much better, I still really enjoy the manhwa though.

I know so many people have already said this but they really do feel different to alot of other BL couples I've seen that take their time with the sex and dynamics. They feel more like a couple who's been married for years and no longer think anything the other does is emabrassing whether sexually or romantically. It's quite funny to see how Seungmin was casually frotting with Jaeyoung and Jaeyoung not even gaf about what's happening with his butt LOL!!!

They're sexually intimate, but not in the usual way in BLs, it's really refreshing and funny, I can't wait to see more of them(づ￣ ³￣)づ

I want to see the father miserable seeing at how happy and free jinhyeong truly is after cutting him off, I want him to feel pain and regret for caring more about his image than his son's life.
