She's looking at a family she wish she had, or did have before her son needed surgery. She seemed spiteful towards him in the way she was glancing at him after seeing the family. Now they have a broken family that barely talks to each other. I don't like the mother. She talks about her loneliness but doesn't see or even care about her own son's loneliness and guilt that he's felt since he was a kid and still currently feels. I know she sees this, or I'm reading too into it, I dont care. All I know is that he's suffering when he shouldn't be. Imo
