Some of these, like fried shrimp, ( which originated in Korea.) didn't start in the USA, we just brought other places food's here. There's a reason for it being named the "UNITED" states of America. It really depends on why they left in the first place. I'm not all that familiar with family love, but if my parent left me because of something the other parent did, I would at least try and reconnect with them.
