Idk how true this will be but it seems like ML is already hella possessive of MC because of how jealous(?) he got when he realized MC was with his friend. Not sure why and how far back tho. I guess it was the author’s intention from the start, as we can notice by some hints, but if that was the case there could have been a little more effort to execute it. Maybe set a little bit of a psychological and suspense climate?
Idk the plot twist just felt so sudden and empty? Like yeah hes the villain, he abused the mc, the mc slapped him, left, felt guilty, had a vulnerable conversation with the seme… but now they are fucking like nothing happened?

Do you really want your romance story to spend half of its chapters not going anywhere and just showing one of the parts getting action with other people while youre audience is seeing barely no development between the couple? I see so many bls like this where the seme does the same thing for most part of the story (specially recently as it seems its the most popular trope currently and the only things that comes out nowadays) and the uke is the one who waits patiently for him. And guess what? everyone hates it and throws shit at the story ( rightfully so) because at the end of the day its just bad writing.
If you wanna show your characters experiencing sex with other people before getting into a relationship with their love interest, thats completely fine, but you gotta know how to do it well and most importantly, for how long to do it. Otherwise, if you spend too much time at it, their transition to lovers WILL feel rushed and insufficient.

It comes a point where a short story gotta get somewhere. This would be acceptable in longer stories with like 100 chapters. But a story that doesnt even have 50 chapters? Wrap it up. Its not going anywhere. That shows the pacing and planning of the story is terrible.
