I’ve read in the comments that they’re both toxic for each other. Could someone kindly explain in what way? I’ve been thinking about reading this, but I’d like to know beforehand.

ML - Knight: Riftan - basically lack communication skills; too pridefull and overprotective of FL: Love her too much it's suffocating; When FL tries to communicate with him about her thoughts he just disregard it and don't listen

FL - Duke's Daughter: Maximilian (Maxi) - has a dark traumatic background of abuse; the whole reason why she's perceived as weak and incompetent; but is now regaining her self esteem and abilities once she got her freedom when she became the wife of Riftan; Average Healer and is smart but is stuttering; I don't really see any "Toxic" trait to her aside from being very Reckless no matter how many times Riftan tell her to be safe and don't do anything; But i understand where she is coming from cause gurllll Riftan don't want her to DO ANYTHING AT ALL (Literally); He prefers if she just keep being safe and comfortable for all her life not doing anything; Which drives her to do Everything she wants and can; given that she lacks freedom and due to her past back story

TBH This is a very good read. I already finished the Novel. Worth it. I already read it 4 times.

Ahh, thank you so much for your reply!

Now I’m really excited because that sounds exactly like something I’d love. I’m definitely going to read the novel, especially since the covers are so gorgeous. Thanks again—you’ve officially sold me on it!

Wowww Glad to hear it!! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ You won't regret I promise!!

I'd love to share the novel link with you but unfortunately, the old website where I'm reading it is gone. All other chapters are hard to find now on any other website. The only copy I have now is a soft copy of the chapters downloaded on my cellphone. Thank God I was able to save copies HAHAHHA But I do believe there is a website somewhere which still has the Novel Chapters.

I highly suggest, asking here on the comments or maybe back reading on comments. They sometimes share the novel link here. GOOD LUCKKKK!! ♡♡♡♡

Fox looks so evil, it would be a plot twist if he weren't.

I’m kind of thinking now that Gunwo is immortal, but I could also imagine that he isn't and is just a freak—it’s a 50/50 chance.

But isn’t it obvious that kwon is being forced? Like kwon has zero power or position. Why would you curse him instead of your brother??

    jimiandbooks July 5, 2026 10:27 pm

think abt it from cursed boy’s perspective: he only saw them kiss, heard them moan, while he’s been locked up for a decade. everyone is scared of him and kwon hasn’t seen him since they were kids. i’d be pissed too. form his pov it looks like real love

Yeah, I do see your point. But from what I understood, it isn’t exactly a new concept that servants historically had very little power to refuse or go against their masters. The Cursed Boy himself knows what it’s like to be powerless and have no real influence, so I kind of expected him to understand, at least to some extent, that Kwon isn’t really in a position where he can openly oppose his master.

Also, every time we’ve seen Kwon interacting with the brother, he’s never seemed willing. Even in the current chapter, he was telling him to stop. And unless I’m remembering it wrong, the Cursed Boy heard those interactions too, so he knows Kwon wasn’t exactly a willing participant. From our perspective, Kwon has always come across as reluctant rather than complicit.

That said, I do understand that the Cursed Boy is acting out of incredibly strong emotions. He’s hurt, betrayed, and desperate, so he’s probably not thinking about the situation completely rationally.

I just personally find it a bit extreme that he chose to curse Kwon instead of his brother—the one he knows is deliberately and willingly hurting him. With Kwon, he can’t even be certain that he’s betraying him of his own free will.

I just feel so bad for Kwon. (The Cursed Boy too, of course… but still.)

I have a feeling that gunwoo wouldn’t even mind if teach wanted to kill him— he’s freaky like that.

I swear, Jinwoo is the most omega-looking non-omega I’ve ever seen.

„of course, Koreans are all about gangnam style and math“ the mc is so weird I love him

12quantomania May 1, 2026 6:07 pm

I think it makes sense that the uke forgave the seme so quickly because of the uke’s trauma (which was explained really well in this chapter, as well as his self-reflection). He seems to believe that no one will ever truly love him, and he has been so lonely for such a long time.
Because of that, I think it makes sense that he would forgive the first person he believes truly loves him so quickly, just so he can finally be loved, love someone back, and not be alone anymore. (I love you Hardy )
That being said, it’s still really frustrating and toxic to read, but from his perspective, it makes sense.

    Well, you have a point.
But I'm going to sit here mad about this chapter and wait to see if we are going to see any groveling in this story. Aside from Shun, the doctor/master, every one needs to grovel and bag Harvy for forgiveness even after he forgives them.

Even though I think there’s an explanation/reason for Hardy’s behavior, I still 100% agree with you. nobody deserves him
