Ewwwww, bro ewwwww
I can feel fer bad intentions from the creepy ass smile in that last panel, if she tries to make a move on him and his brother blames him in going rage so bad
I read this before going to sleep, but my whole thought process is this author really likes writing drama as seen by their previous work, so I just assume every plot point is for drama.
The MC's brother's bride keeps staring at MC andeveb MC notices and was like 'is she staring at me?' Looking behind himself to see if there was someone there, I interpreted this stare as uncomfortable for MC.
Her smile is creepy is my personal opinion, I think that the author captured a dead eyed smile really well while drawing the bride.
I believe this wedding arc will be used to out MC in a 'damsel in distress act' to make the ML come to 'save' him, not from the bride, but from his brother
I just really hate how people immediately assume the worst case scenarios when it comes to female characters. I mean, yea sadly we got to many authors out there who basically promote misogyny in their works, even if they are women themselves. Maybe they don’t know how else to create drama or it’s simply a self portrait of themselves- or both combined. It’s just awful and I wish people would realize this and conclude that it’s unwise/immature to jump to conclusions immediately. And even if the worst case scenario happens, let’s maybe question if this was truly necessary or what the purpose was to begin with. Ruining multiple female characters to strengthen MCs or to bring couples together (pushing one’s work)- seems often to be the actual goal then some representation and talk about the reality of many homosexual people. And supportive ones will never get the attention (let’s take MC‘s sister AND his mom - she may not be perfect and not every choice is right, but she is not abandoning him because of his sexuality) they deserve.
BUT I DON'T LIKE THE WAY HE SAID IT
Tbh the whole conflict of the manwha, that the empress wants Etienne on the throne and the Emperor wants Rishar on the throne, would have been solved easily if they had been engaged since early life and married, but because the empress is a power hungry crazy bitch and preferred pumping drugs into Etienne to make him pass as an alpha rather than orchestrating a way to control Rishar via Etienne, this variable was simply not eligible for her.
Still, If they got married and bonded, it would solve the conflic of putting both of them in the throne
i think the issue with this theory and why his mom didn’t go through with it is because omegas have no power over the throne other than through their children. Even if mc married ml and becomes the empress at this time, he would have practically no power or authority over the nation and general ruling duties. He would only gain some power if he were to have a child eligible for the throne, he gains power by association. This is what the mom currently has. So if the mom goes with mc marrying ml, she loses all the power she had because the potential power of mc is lost.
Not saying that I support her hiding it, she’s a very fucked person and i hope she gets banished or smth. It’s just that within their current legislation system, mc won’t get any power as an omega. I’m predicting that he’ll gain people’s trust through not only ruling but also fighting. So when it comes to light that he’s an omega, either he will have enough support to change legislation and take to the throne or ml takes the throne first and changes legislation with very little opposition.
Yes! I do understand this point, I was making mine based on the fact that Rishar has followed Etienne around like a puppy since early age and with the right manipulation, the empress could have had not one but the two of them as puppet rulers without completely fucking up Etienne's entire endocrine system.
What I've wanted my point to revolve around was the bodily damage made to Etienne, since one of the biggest points of conflict so far has been the medicine killing him slowly, the damage done by the lack of hormones his body should be producing, also he's probably infertile at the moment too and if he ever wanted to have kids he'd have to go through extensive therapy to correct the damage done and so on.
yeah she’s basically fucking him up not just mentally but physically. Yes it’s absolutely a horrible thing to do, but it also just doesn’t make sense. She needs him to have a long life for her to maintain her influence and power. It’s also so fucked that like this IS her son. It’s so much worse than her just outright killing him, she’s watching him slowly die and is fine with it as long as it doesn’t directly get in her way.
she may have dressed it as wanting etienne to have more power as the actual ruler but I believe she just doesn't wanna have her power and authority taken. like the gramps said, dominant omegas from the herace family are special in which their pheromones could make any alphas submit so she's been wrecking etienne's body so his dominant trait won't be a risk to her. altho in current chapters it might have shown she doesn't want etienne to be another puppet of heraces but that still doesn't justify allowing any harmful drugs to her own son without some kind of malicious intent
Chapter 1 and chapter 2 are two very different comics? Like I was so invested in chapter one? Is this an upload error? I want to know more about the wicked jewel eating woman

This is the page for the comic on the first chapter, it also only has two chapters sadly

Strong isn't really the correct word I'd use, idk, if I found out the rando I chose as a contract husband for presumably a no feelings attached marriage was obsessed with me, I'd slime myself again and try from the beginning, or pray to God to let me be born a commoner this time.
I personally don't like the story, I skimmed through chapters 2 or 3 at the time and found the sex scenes repulsive, even more after the reveal that Carcel was using birth control, but I read the beginning when I was in high school and lost the chapter I was on so I dropped it for a long time, until now that I went through the first 15 chapters and then skimmed the rest, I just wanted to see where the story went since I had been wondering since back then.
I don't like the "Oh, they were soulmates, they were always meant to be" direction I judged the plot was taking, I dislike Carcel as much as I hate Oscar, maybe even more because Oscar is irrelevant to me. But honestly that's a bias on me hating characters who sleep around with anybody, if he hadn't been a slut I'd be his number one fan.
THE ART IS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL THOUGH
