They should make every other webtoon author that writes in this genre read this story. Even though it's pretty short and probably a bit cramped together, the pacing still didn't feel too bad.
I think people are just struggling with it because these types of stories usually cram in 20 extra chapters between important events.
The person under me said it well.
People are complaining that the female lead is weak and she's not a good duchess as if that wasn't the whole point of the story. She was neglected and had no one to teach her, unlike most female leads in other stories who have the advantage of being either reincarnated or isekai'd.
Her being 'annoying' was the whole arc of showing how hopeless her situation was where she had no support system, and the only thing she could do was try, because she would just end up with nothing if she didn't.
Like obviously I think its weird that the mom only came to see him after he got rich and all that, but wasn't she a victim of hyesung's dad too? No matter how innocent Hyesung was, I can't blame her for not staying with the dad for obvious reasons, but also taking him with her would've made it hard for both of them anyways, cus being a single broke mom would've been a worse life for both of them.
She should’ve taken Hyesung somewhere safer even if she couldn’t take him with her, but I don’t remember much to say that so…maybe she tried or didn’t. All of my posts are mainly targeting one and that’s Dojin. The granny isn’t even the one pressuring to see Hyesung, she’s quietly living. It’s whatever. I hope Hyesung just gets closure and that’s that. Sometimes, not everything needs a happy go lucky ending. It’s enough that she’s being helped by Dojin with the living expenses, and got to see her grandson Byul. Last thing might be a last talk or something like that with Hyesung. I want the focus back to Byula and Siwoo soon.

I really hope they don't go in the direction where the FL concludes that she was also part of the problem of their relationship failing when 99.99% of it was definitely the ML's fault. I've seen it happen at least TWICE and it just feels so misogynistic.
They better make that man GROVEL one hundred times before she decides to even think about getting back with him.
