I can see that. Yeah, it can depend on what kinda tricks ML is playing. If it's light and playful then I can pass it. But, there are male leads who create artificial situations like hiring people to bully them come as saviours or separating the MC's loved ones from him. They are the worst, IMO. At least with Playboy and Cheater, MCs usually already know about this side of MLs. But with a manipulator, he/she will never know about the real situation.
Playboys sure but cheaters I can’t ever excuse no matter what…imagine getting back with a cheater, I’d rather die.
As for severe manipulation to the point MC doesnt know at all, I agree. But I was more thinking of MC that knows but still “forgives” and yes! More of light manipulation.
Have you guys read Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint or similar systemic stories with great world building? Feel free to recommend me some. I have finished reading ORV and I am so sad about it, it has influenced me to write my own similar plot. The thought of writing a systemic channel and constellation is so tempting, but I don’t want to completely take that from ORV. I wonder if any other Korean or any novels have that sponsor stuff.
I’m making a story. It will probably be completed in the years to come depending on how much detail my story holds. I have already finished making the intro. Perhaps that is one flaw for many readers who don’t enjoy many details.
I just want to know from reader’s perspective what makes the story intriguing the most. Is it the unique games? Is it the character’s reaction and traits? Smart MC? Is there any specific reason you’re attracted to these type of stories (ORV specific) or just about any systemic stories?
And what would be major flaws for you? Be brutally honest.
Finally for my story, would it be attractive to readers if I included LGBTQ+ or is that less popular? And no, not asking ORV fanatics because I know their gay ass would say it’s very attractive (satire but truth 90%).

How the heck do I get used to doing 40 hours a week? I’m such a bed rotter. I’ve tried 40 hours a week in the past, but I’m so inconsistent and have left many jobs. The pay was good too! I always regret, but don’t learn.
