I guess I've been reading way too many healthy dom/sub dynamic fanfics recently, because this is throwing me off.
Usually, I try to turn the analytical part of my brain off while reading stuff like this, cuz most of the time theyre so blatantly misrepresenting this stuff that I can easily just be like 'yeah this is clearly fiction, lets not use my brain for this one'.
But i didnt think Id have to bring that kind of mindset to this manhwa because so far, the author had been doing a pretty good job of representing a health dom/sub dynamic. I really hope they try to fix the dynamic and take it back into a healthier light.
The very necessity of a good d/s relationship/dynamic is communication. It is the core fundamental and CANNOT be compromised. The author was going decent-ish in the first season with this, but the second one is just completely off. I mean, that maid scene?? The dom using that as a means to talk rather than actually communicating with their sub?? No good dom would do that, especially not with a sub who's so new to the scene and is still discovering his limits and preferences.
And this recent chapter?? Again the same thing. A scene is never supposed to be you taking your anger out on your sub or throwing your weight around like that. Thats just plain stupid. And also, a sub isnt supposed to feel inadequate or fearful like that. So, i really do hope this can go back towards a healthier light soon.
No bcz I really have to rant about this, please just ignore this.
But like, the fact that the entire reason juhyeok hates being an omega is cuz he perceives them in a stereotypical manner and believes and theyre weak and cant survive without the help of others and will always be a burden, which i think has also lent into his passion for kendo cuz he wants to prove this stereotype wrong by being strong and Independent and he wants to rely on no one but himself???
And the fact that Su-ah has literally forced him into this very stereotype because juhyeok is now actually living through his fear of not being able to live and survive alone??? Like??? Having to constantly rely on su ah??? Which he would not have needed at all had su ah not constantly scented him *without his permission or knowledge!??!*
And how the fuck is su ah treating juhyeok like he's in the wrong for the whole "treating Su-ah like hes a c*m machine"??? Bro you legit did this to yourself??? This is no ones fault but your own??? Juhyeok is only trying to find the most effective solution to a problem SuAh created for him!! Sure hes not taking the best route but can ya blame him? Su Ah has shown time and again that he is completely incapable of respecting Juhyeoks boundaries!!! So ofcourse juhyeok wants to keep his distance!!
And im not even gonna get started on the whole scenting thing. Ugh. That just pisses me off. I also blame the parents for some of the shit a lil tbh.
But anyways coercing juhyeok into a relationship is stupid and pathetic and I hope he suffers the consequences of his actions. (Also note that juhyeok liking him back does NOT excuse any of of SuAh's behaviour.)

Im reading this cuz im genuinely hoping author nim gives su ah some mirculous redemption arc cuz he is pissing me the fuck off so far. The only reason im not dropping this is cuz its just started and theres hope for it yet. And I honestly want to see su ah suffer so much rn. And not in a physcially painful way but more in a Juhyeok-Finally-Realises-Hows-Trashy-Hes-Being-Rn-And-Leaves kinda way because holy fuck does juhyeok deserve better
