Garam they don’t understand you like I do….. feeling so fundamentally unloveable that you need to trap the first person to ever make you feel seen in a toxic relationship is something I’ve only seen work a single time (loustat) but I commend you for trying my man. Glad he got a BF, I wish we got another side story w them bc his bf was so cute
you guys say you want toxic yaoi and then turn around and complain when the yaoi is toxic…. why would anyone ever want to read a story about two well adjusted people who communicate normally and nothing bad happens to them ever. that’s nothing
So called toxic yaoi lovers when Su-Ah and Juhyeok have psychological issues due to their secondary genders, society, and childhoods and struggle with their feelings for one another for DECADES instead of them having 1 argument and then immediately apologizing so they can go and get married and have 25 kids :
This story is way more emotionally complicated than just cheating, and too many western yaoi fans read stuff like this through a western lens. Bandou feels like he’s required to have this marriage of convenience because without it he would be socially ostracized for being gay. He believes being gay is not an option for him whatsoever because he’s an adult, and needs to be married. Miho put herself in this situation by continuing to pursue and marry a man she knew was gay and in love with Toshi who was married with a kid. Japan is not equivalent to America on its attitudes towards queer people, despite the popularity queer fiction. Idk man, just think about the societal commentary the work is making before you denounce it for being all about cheating.

So good this story was so sweet. I wish we got a scene where akamatsu and his dad talked it out a little more
