bro this ain't hannibal nbc, this was marketed as romance omegaverse. THERE IS NOT EVEN THE PSYCHOLOGYCAL TAG IN THIS!! if it were dark romance, then readers should be warned, but it's not dark romance; it was written so that readers would find ML redeemable like normal romance.

on platforms like this who got the tags from the official sites, tags are literally the only warning system we have before investing hours of our time. if a story contains forced secondary gender conversion via drugging and a ML who explicitly admits he'll do unforgivable things as long as he isn't caught, that is psychological horror-adjacent and deserves a tag.

don't hide behind "dark romance" when the summary and early chapters didn't frame it that way. a tag isn't a suggestion, it's a boundary. ignoring that is how you bait-and-switch your audience. you can love toxic MLs and still be frustrated when the writing doesn't earn that toxicity or warn you about it. it's an aesthetic AND narrative complaint, not a purity test. people have every right to complain. next time, actually engage with what I said

I agree with them, it's a waste of good art because the plot is terrible. the narrative construction was done lazily, simply doing the ML as a psycho, while still trying to keep the genre slice of life. it doesn't commit to being dark romance, so much so that it doesn't have the tags.
and so what if it's a pirate site? even better, since the author can't see it
