It's one of those reads you gotta be in a certain mood to appreciate,, like I'd put it on the same tier as something like 'unsettling scent' it would probably suck the first time you read it and only when you randomly stumble upon it, get back to reading it, you'll appreciate that its actually pretty good
I loved Unsettling Scent from the beginning tbh I think it just depends how down bad you are for crazy nasty toxic yaoi smut
ngl i started reading it to hate in a more informed manner but ended up getting invested in the character psychology and eventually read the novel. if the characters aren't clicking for you though, i wouldn't force it. i think passion is one of those stories where whether you love it or not depends almost entirely on how invested you get in the cast
