i loved every second of this! it’s so refreshing to see romance written well. this is grown women romance, no corny bs, no embarrassing cliches! the fmc is intelligent and clever and i like that she doesn’t get dumbed down next to the ml. so many rofans write their fmc to be really capable but when they’re next to the ml, they become dumber and i’ve always hated that! i also appreciate how the ml has a personality outside of being this evil, bloodthirsty tyrant. he’s got character depth outside of being a love interest and i always welcome that. additionally, i LOVE that the fmc has FEMALE friends ugh! thank you!
the build for their romance is satisfying as well. it’s not too fast, they didn’t fall for each other at first sight and start dating within ten chapters. i love a gradual growth. i also like that there’s no over the top, excessive blushing and no “doki doki my heart ugh why am i feeling like this? omo! am i in l-l-l-love??” bs
i’m on ch 23, i know im just being nitpicky but i hate how young ophelia and her friend look. like you’re telling me this mom is old enough to have a daughter that’s in her mid to late teens but she looks the same age as her daughter? so the emperor and the duke can look a little older but all the adult women have to look as young as the teenage main character? it just kinda feels like the artist didn’t want to draw them as older (literally adding a line under their eye or next to their mouth) and i hate that. like why do these adult women who are probably in their late thirties to early forties need to look as young as possible? again, just me being nitpicky

i love them so much
