Why do people forget that Enzo’s literally from the Mafia? Not only born and raised in it but also leading it. He’s as crazy and dangerous as they come. He’s not going to be a green flag just because he’s good looking. He’s a black flag which is expected from the head of a mafia group. In addition, he’s also pissed as hell on Rian for sleeping with that woman when he specifically warned him not to. In Enzo’s mind Rian is already his possession. Given how crazy he is Enzo’s actually going easy on Rian. I think it’s actually Rian who seriously needs to understand and realise the severity of the situation he is in and how he chose the wrong person to take lightly.

I think the author did a good job showing how sometimes victims become monsters themselves. The author is not trying to justify Mincheol’s cheating but instead he’s just providing some context that although he was deceived himself and suffered because of it instead of learning from it he chose to became an even worse version of the person who deceived him. Haesoo was the one who suffered most in all of this. She was abused since childhood and had no reliable family member. Mincheol was all she had. She was already over working herself and wasn’t in the best of health. She was suffering mentally because she couldn’t get pregnant and then this happens. Mincheol knows all this already. She’s still putting her faith in Mincheol and working hard herself but because the debt is in her name she has to work extra hard. Then she gets divorced from Mincheol because of the debt but still living with him. This affects her mentally even more. Exhaustion from work and the situation eats away at her even more. With time she becomes even more drained and cold. Mincheol seeing this initially feels immense guilt because he knows he caused all this but with time that guilt turns into resentment towards her because he can’t handle the guilt anymore. He can’t handle taking all the blame anymore because it eats away at him. The only way he thinks he can cope with the situation is by blaming it all on her like she’s the reason he cut off his friends, she’s the reason he didn’t go to college and have a better job, she’s the reason he took out the loan in the first place, she’s the reason he doesn’t have a better life etc. He’s a coward. He’s just running away from reality. He digs himself deeper and deeper into a hole because he wants to solidify that he’s innocent and not a monster but ends up becoming an even bigger monster. Mincheol is not someone you should pity. You should take a lesson from his life and avoid becoming him at all costs.
