Literally makes me bawl my fucking eyes out

shizu-chan asked a question

Does anyone know if NTokki and Btokki is back somehow? I know the creators have a telegram channel and they always come back with a new domain…is it really over for real this time?

Btokki was irreplaceable

One day I hope the world becomes so normal that even manhwa bls don’t have to censor simple kisses between men

Ugh omegaverse why… I thought I finally found a good story

shizu-chan created a topic of Melting Point

This is like the exact copy of Dash! lol. Just with ice Hockey stuff. But I love it. Can’t get enough. Blind to clichés but I do miss original stories like when are we gonna get the new generation defining BL?

shizu-chan created a topic of The Boy And The Wolf

All this opening up to a guy who has done the same trauma to who knows how many kids like him…
If I were the boy, I’d throw up if I found someone I had been relying on and opening up to about the most traumatic thing that ever happened to me was inadvertently the cause of the same trauma for other kids. I adore Tera but honestly this isn’t as wholesome as the vibe is trying to be…it’s just uncomfortable.
Also I can’t get used to the boy sounding so „adult“ all of a sudden. Like the way he expressed his thoughts is so different from first half of the story…it is a bit jarring. But the premise itself is quite tragic in every way. I like them together but I don’t want them to end up together. Unpopular opinion I know.

The author didn’t need to go this route for Yohan‘s character arc. Ugh it became too cliche now. He was SUCH a good character!!! Ugh idk.

shizu-chan created a topic of Bad Friend (Euneun)

It’s like he knows he’s the MC and has plot armour in guessing kijoong will come there anyway since that friend who warned him will text or call him or something and he’ll be mad at him. Otherwise there’s no sense of this shit happening.
Otherwise that’s his plan and he wants Kijoong to feel guilt and comeback - which is fucked up.
He should’ve just peeked inside and see if he was there and then ran off - like why go there in like u own the place with no backup plan ? He‘s fucking dumb I hate when characters are written to force sympathy out of the readers like no, even if he gets beat up now I’ll be like „ofc u did u dummy“

No….i wished this was shounen-ai for some reason though I guess this is hella sweet but but…I think the artstyle is the reason maybe…they’re still fluff and cute but ….uh noooo…

shizu-chan created a topic of Bad Friend (Euneun)

Ok so I caught up finally and have a lot of thoughts on the characters so far:

The one thing I’m keeping in mind is that they’re both kids so they’ll make mistakes and learn from them…if we take Jimin for instance who is less mature than Gijung, who doesn’t know saying „sorry“ is the way to make up with a friend for saying hurtful things and he acknowledges he is selfish but doesn’t work on working on that at all even if he hates being like that..is so teenager like.

Some people are like that…they’ve been by themselves so long that when they default back to being alone, they feel more in control of their life. He has an abnormal level of detachment though (it’s not because he doesn’t want to have friends but because he doesn’t know how to be one)

He centres himself in every relationship and expects other people to make the decision to be his friend or not…leaving the agency to someone else giving off the feeling that he does not want to be anyone’s friend to begin with and doesn’t value them as a person and inevitably makes them feel like a fool for trying…

IRL such people are quite troublesome to befriend even if they’re nice people because at the end of the day friendship has to be mutually reciprocal in both interest and effort to mean something…

And friendship also means standing up for your friends even if it’s inconvenient or embarrassing..

Gijung showed him himself completely..even the most vulnerable and embarrassing parts of his life so he’d see him for who he is..but still Jimin did not have the courage to defend him when the teacher was badmouthing him (granted it would’ve made things worse but still…)

He is not a selfish character, but he is quite self-centred where he thinks only his problems are the issues that matter, he is self-loathing but not enough to change that..he has expectations for others to follow his words vut doesn’t consider other people‘s feelings or emotions at all..

So that does make him a bit hypocritical and annoying but he’d a child…so I’m keeping that in mind.

Gijung is more mature and forgiving because of the environment he’s brought up in and the way he’s more attached to Jimin than vice versa so he’s bound to give in to him and his expectations more..
He doesn’t communicate too well his own heart and mind (granted that growing up in that house u wouldn’t even know how to do that) but he’s also a kid trying to do his best..
He’s really really honest and mature…and a good influence on Jimin honestly because he makes him self-reflect a lot on his words and personality..

Gijung would always end up being the one who carries the most burdens in their relationship even when they get together for a long time because that’s how how their dynamic is..

But it’s all good. What I like about Jimin is that he’s easygoing when he has to be and learns from his mistakes quickly even if he doesn’t act on them right away..

He’s a kid so hopefully as he grows older, he’ll be more honest and considerate of the people around him and not just hinself…

shizu-chan created a topic of Famiresu Iko.

Lowkey mad as hell that this is so short when I haven’t been able to get into a story this good in so long…like I’m actually mad at the author…how can you give us this treasure and take it away in a damn second? Like?? Maybe they come up with a season 3 because we need it so bad. Like please…we need them to confess and kiss and also move in together for Kyouji to remove his tatamis and rearrange them or take him to his own house as he moves to Tokyo
He wouldn’t quit being. Yakuza even after the oldan dies for sure and satomi will just have to accept it lol
He already has..
The age gap doesn’t bother me because of all the distance they had between middle school and uni…this is peak romance. That hug will live in my mind rent free for the rest of my life…

Can’t imagine how many times kyouji mustve replayed it like “what what what” he knew he must know

I also loved their whole “what are we” conversation because kyouji left it up to satomi to think for himself and not come to him for answers it was like “I’ll be whoever you want me to to you as long as you’ll have me”

And that’s….so fucking refreshing and romantic

They both the line will be crossed as they’re already involved emotionally in a way where kyouji can tolerate someone badmouthing or exploiting his old man boss or his son…but he attacked that writer only after he threatened to write about satomi…like…also seeing satomi in black cats…my guy…

Also him not remembering exactly how it was declared by Satomi that they’ll never see each other so blurred because it was too much to process emotionally…

I really wanna see him lose his mind seeing satomi hurt because of his yakuza background at least once

LIKE AUTHOR, please what are you DOINGGG

shizu-chan created a topic of Let's Meet Alive

It’s a bit predictable and cliched but i can’t decide if I like this dynamic more than the dynamic of bodyguard being the seme (especially when they establish that he’s obviously weaker than the seme who will end up Protecting him I’m sure throughout the series) idk, the art is banging…but surprisingly I don’t like the seme’s character design. it’s like a twink not twinkified not a seme. Their first interaction is also too cliched like I’ve see this movie before a hundred times…ugh, nvm. Maybe I’m not in the mental space to read another story like this.

shizu-chan created a topic of Sunday's Consolation

I don’t remember the novel being this bland and boring justice for the novel!!!!

shizu-chan created a topic of Toxin

I liked the novel more, even though the art is so immaculate but honestly, their first kiss, as TOXIC as it might be, is so sensual and so real lol. I still go back and read it. In the novel, it’s even more prolonged but I just LOVE a good kiss scene not a peck not a 3 panel kiss but a whole goddamn chapter of just kissing…Garon’s longing and desire were so delicious to see. I love their first kiss scene and subsequently all other kiss scenes too. I liked the novel quite a lot. And yes it’s toxic, but it’s fun. You know what to expect so I never expected anything else than what happens. The story is predictable but I love it.

shizu-chan created a topic of 2020

Season 1 and 2 feel like completely different stories and characters. I honestly feel the author doesn’t know how to take the story ahead and is relying solely on cliches and sex scenes to drive the plot forward or maybe I’m wrong but season 1 was so unique and funny and all of this isn’t. His trauma has been forgotten, the plot is all over the place they made up too soon and in a weird manner and now this…I think the chasing arc should’ve been better, and then it would’ve been better if we got to know fluffy heads background a bit and our MC to be more…idk, him. This new rival is also only there to induce jealousy for fluffy head, wasted potential. Idk.

shizu-chan created a topic of Lucky Credit

This story...surprisingly went a steep downhill for me. Particularly because of how goddamn self-righteous Haejun is...something about it is pissing me off. Like am I the only one who remembers Mr. Ji'S backstory and why he ended up that way...I can feel the author just brushing over it and painting him as the villain completely. It's not that black and white.
Also can he stop being judgemental for 1 second and try to understand him if he's your partner? He doesn't understand Mr.ji, he doesn't accept him, he just wants him to be like him. Maybe I just hate controlling behaviour even if it's to "turn" someone "good". Idk. I feel the author got bored halfway through the story and now they want to rely on clichés to end it.

Also it seems rushed too...I don't like how controlling Haejun is (especially when he was unsure of his own feelings for the longest time)
I just feel like he doesn't GET Mr. Ji at all. Their chemistry hasn't improved or developed. The blonde and the boat driver have better chemistry.
Mr.Ji is still bending over backwards to sustain the relationship...idk something isn't hitting.
I feel like this story had a lot of potential but it couldn't 3xecute it properly because it was supposed to exist in the grey but it's hell bent on making it black and white. Idk. Idk.
I'm disappointed because I really thought this was a unique one at the start, I couldn't guess what was gonna happen but now it's super cliche. Idk.

HAHAHAHAHA I don't remember him crying from the novel. I don't like the manhwa honestly, it's a bit too goofy for me but the novel was good. I liked the writing more there...the manhwa is hella goofy hahaaha

This story is getting cliché-er by b the chapter... i'm disappointed in season 2 so far (/TДT)/
