Side note: Now that we know the mc dad basically worked for ml family at some, maybe that's how ml got his scar, saved him from something when they were young.
I was bracing myself for it, expected it but did NOT expect mc to hold onto ml while he willingly gave up his life! Complete bawling! That's what did it. And where I live that is not comfortable in 100 degree weather. Ml crumpled features while he was feeling completely helpless and couldn't stop mc.
