The paneling was top tier, choosing the perspectives, showing the mood,, the transitions were so smooth and made sense. I loved the colors too. Buuuttt it being their first comic,, it really does show. The climax? Didn't hit that hard. I feel like there were more thoughts and emotions that should of been displayed. But I think they did good for their first go. Short, perfect for a learning start

I just went on about what's being displayed, revealed,,, the personality and attachment disorders that were developed through childhood. I won't try to actually diagnose him because I'm not a psychologist, but literally so much can go into developing these disorders. Even the way the mom talks to the baby in the womb. You could even use the medical term "narcissist" for him. The backstory doesn't try to make you forgive his actions, it doesn't brush them aside,,, he still recieved the consequences. And as the title suggests, he's delusional which isn't helping. This shit ain't "yearning",, it's mental illness. And it's heartbreaking. This is a worse depression than he suffered while in the foster shelter, he doesn't believe anything is going to get better. It literally falls under "depression" but ignorant idiots want to call it "yearning". Now he's staring at a razor blade. I personally felt triggered by this. The way he is thinking and then looks at the sharpest object in his vicinity.

This is why you can't go into the comments of anything that relates to trauma (and the results of it) or mental illness,, people dumb it down. Though I am grateful to see some people who actually have brains and empathy.

I mean yeah, she's obviously cheating, but some people are getting too personal with this. The author has made their intentions with this manhwa perfectly clear, so don't go expecting actual decent morals. It's unrealistic, it's embarrassing, it's funny, and it's hot. Creator wanted to make a bunch of different sex scenes, they just need to add a little plot to drive the story forward to those scenes. If you want a real romance, this is not the manhwa for you. This is your 'shut your brain off' manhwa you use as a break from a bunch of deeper stories you read. And no, I'm not saying it's right to cheat,,, I'm focused on the creator's intentions. they're written to be a specific way, so don't act like you know them personally and just either drop it or keep reading

But this time it's non-con sex,,, them being drunk and saying they want to does not equal true consent. As I'm reading this, I don't think the author thought that hard about the fact this is all straight up criminal. Yeah they know it's bad, it's going to hurt the character, but it's as if they don't fully understand the actual impact of activities like this. There were no actual thoughts of mc being like "i feel dirty",,, he was just pissed,,,, this can show the author does not understand what they're writing. The idea sounds great on the cover, what if a guy's two best friends made him gay haha,,,, but really it's just non-con Author needs better feedback and education on these traumatizing situations. I wish Koreans took queer SA more seriously.

I actually am enjoying this manhwa a lot, it has a more unique taste to it. It feels more serious than a lot of other guideverse bls. I love the themes of the class heriachy(not the grades) or socio-political systems, and how the egos aren't just something silly and stupid (well they are stupid, but it's written more seriously). I also enjoy the idea of how a person's economic class usually determines what zone they end up in, and the different culture of things in the outer areas. Fighting to survive, being at risk almost all the time, poor conditions, different type of culture compared to the first class. It feels really similar to how it is in actual society, making it more relatable or understandable. The lower your class, the more hazards/issues to you and your family. It makes sense why these higher class espers and guides have such egos. Imagine not only being rich, but also having powers. Espers are basically unstoppable to anyone except the Onis. Not every esper might have the same view as ml does of the treatment towards espers, they might actually feel useful now. Most are still rich kids, and parents have high expectations for them, and we already have an idea on what effects that has on a child. Even though others say the world building lacks depth, I believe it is perfectly fine. I am not saying it's the very best, but it's still good as is. If this weren't a BL, then it probably would of been 10x better. I think it isn't that immersive for different people. This story is also a different take on guideverse, so it may also just not be familiar. I also believe this story is meant to be ambiguous, that can be another thing why it's harder to be immersed, cuz you really don't know what's going on. Of course, in good writing, it is expected you still keep the reader absorbed even if information is purposely being left out. It should be making the reader truly wanting to understand everything.

I also saw that people saw different events super abrupt, which I can see very well. But this is a manhwa adaptation of a webnovel, and I've seen plenty of adaptations not play out events and their transitions well. I want to find the novel before I make a confident statement about this, but if anyone has read it, let me know your thoughts!

I can understand the whole idea of the main character not really acting his age, but like if you understand how trauma works, it should be pretty clear why. This story is definitely going to be about the two helping eachother heal from their trauma and learn to manage themselves a lot better. Learn how to cope. The world is in apocalypse, so trauma is very common. MC has many fond memories as child and of that blonde guy being someone he looked up to and treasured deeply. MC went into an all time low because of it, probably went through plenty of spirals. He probably felt so useless, he lost hope. He's obviously very competent in things, fighting and learning how to guide quickly, but he is still being held back by his trauma. Then he has been assigned to sort of take care of the strongest esper who was literally trying to kill himself all the time, it's another challenge for MC. MC feels so proud whenever he does something to actually help, he feels more hope and dedication. That's probably been in his character in the past. Just now this is after being at an all time low, which makes the smallest of things make him feel bigger emotions. His emotions are more extreme than an average person's, whether that be despair, regret, anxiety, hope, whatever. This can be an effect from the trauma, messing with his brain. I'm not necessarily saying the author thought this far, but it still makes sense. I'm not sure how to word all of this properly though. It doesn't really help that everyone looks down on him, so when he's able to actually do something on their level, it helps him feel a lot better. I think he's gonna have intense mood swings, and i do hope people see that and know it isn't helped. These 2 are going to be very complex characters and probably hard to dissect, but please please please don't let that struggle hinder your view on the story. The characters are purposely being written this way. I very much dislike when people write reviews as if they were personally dealing with the characters.

I'm really hooked on this story, it may be guideverse, which obviously was created to keep the action but also have an excuse to make the characters fuck. But this story seems to have a different approach. Yes there are horny people in this, but it seems like sexual guiding isn't expected. It is hinted at being efficient, but it isn't plainly stated the more intimate, the more effective. The themes really pull me in, but they might not pull in others which is perfectly okay. I also was grateful the author made sure to have MC actually fight back and get away before any more severe sexual assault could happen. Sexual assault doesn't just mean straight up rape, it is also a term for attempted rape. Attempted forced sexual interaction, whether that be intentionally or not. (Mostly it is intentionally, but some people insist it was unintentional to get out of being told what they actually did wrong).

I hope to start reading the novel so I can get a better gist on the cut out scenes and the character's thoughts and feelings. I think the manhwa is still doing a good job on conveying the emotions, but of course, an actually written out thing will help. I yapped a lot, but this story is super promising, and I do hope the people working on this adaptation look at feedback and fix some of the issues we are running into. Other than that, this story is great as is. Also the main characters are eye candy
