but reading the latest chapters make me feel like i can't breathe
i'm no pearl clutcher, we're basically 50 chapters in if the subject matter bothered me trust i would have left. but the translator note was so tone deaf, made me think "bruh are we reading the same story? tf you mean he'll do anything for dih he's literally trying to survive psychological and physical torture through the mechanism of their power imbalance". and then seeing all the comments eating this shit up was so surprising, are so many people really reading and taking the things mc is saying under duress at face value(?) since when did reading with one hand mean throwing out all reading comprehension skills.
the way this author writes the characters is so annoying, the main couple, the old man, almost every character in the story so far has been so unlikable. the only two characters i don't dislike are the alpha upperclassmen from the second couple (character with the least amount of scene time) and daiki (just introduced and barely been around to have impact on greater story outside of his tragic side plot).
it's omegaverse and the ml is a beta but wait actually he's an omega breeding sow but he's also in a prestigious academy but also the older brothers are in the army as highly ranked officials but also the oldest brother is running shit like a mob boss with goons but also they're a noble family and it takes place in a victorian historical setting where the tech is steampunk but basically advanced enough for modern standards but also there are random CAVEMEN with MODERN AXES FROM HOMEDEPOT-LIKE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON, pick a plot, pick a lane, and fucking stick to it.
but for such a porny manhwa they do a good job at holding back on/not fully depicting the nonconsensual scenes, it creates a distinction between those and the other scenes with the stereotypical consenting non consenting pornhwa script
the way the censoring is done it might as well be uncensored- it might even be even more suggestive the way the selective censoring emphasizes the peripheral parts of the censored body parts. not complaining, i approve :P
the golden nosebleed just looks like snot too me, kind of icked me out when they both started eating boogers together
i really like the plot and the characters, the smut is really hot too, the only thing that i can't get past is the prince consort looks too much like james charles it's so off putting
