To those that have read the original story of Eros and psyche, how close is this adaptation to the original (ofc the genderbend being the obvious one) and is it considered a disrespectful adaptation?
It preserves the central themes of Aphrodite’s jealousy, Eros falling in love with Psyche, their secret romance, other than that the rest is made up.

It's totally different from the main story since Psyche is very much in love and faithful to Eros, Eros isn't a rapist at all but here, it's painted as him being manipulative and rapist, Psyche sleeping with others(will be) besides Eros. There is no Argos a pedo, no Ross, it's only them against their world so this manhwa is no where near the actual story
..I wouldn’t call the original story romantic. But this manhwa has taken a lot of creative liberties and lowkey it’s just any cookie cutter bl manhwa out there the only difference is it uses the story of Psyche and Eros without taking too much of the original myths plot into account
For me,Compared to this manhwa, i would call the original story romantic because it doesn't paint Eros as a rapist like here and there is no soap opera neither is Psyche being intimate with others unlike here. It's just poor writing like wdym the guards can't even recognise their prince from his physic and all and the way they are so clueless about being horny ☠
will that is just disappointing. ngl it can be frustrating how bl keeps doing these types of themes. like don't get me wrong i read all types of bls including the dark toxic ones but i wish they'd make more serious romantic stories without grape in it. it's tiring.

omg i love this! this wa so good. it was so intense and interesting, i love both of the couples and Hyunmin has to be my favorite character he was so unique and refreshing. i'm gonna miss the four of them, they were such good characters.
