The world building this seems interesting. I kinda wanted to see the rest of the world outside them and the mansion - but maybe that is the point, leaving us feeling that there is so much more outside. And intentionally characters don't step out from that invisible boundary, leaving us intrigued and curious.
I feel like a huge chunk of the readers I see on comment sections these days no longer understand the difference of 'slow burn' and being dragged out. I've seen so many good slow burns already being shat on because they don't fuck fast enough or get together fast enough. Just because the plot doesn't get finished in 5 chapters doesn't mean it's 'dr......
I might die on this hill but... This should be tagged as Horror.
Maybe even Psychological.
Despite all the colours, the tone of everything feels very lovecraftian. This is so creepy.
Dunno why so many Korean novel/manhwa writers like lovecraftian vibes.

I did expect this to be better story than it was. To me something was missing. It mostly felt like a lot of noise and that is it. There was supposed to be a lot of emotions in this, but I didn't felt any of it.
EDIT! Now that I think this more: In the end, kinda nothing got delivered, the original premise was abandoned for the weaker plot that barely worked - so the comedic energy from the start flatlined.
This was actually worse than I originally thought. The art truly did a lot of carrying.
And I know the novel is slow burn too, but could they have at least cut/speed run something. This makes me miss again OG mangas, they manage put so much story just in one chapter and keep it together.

There could have been so much more plot to this... But same time I'm actually happy there was some real plot and not just snake porn. Usually when BL manhwa have snake with double dicks, it's all about that and nothing else.
That been said, quality of the art probably would have suffered if this was a longer running series, but it would have been nice to get at least 20 chapters.
One of the rare times I have seen yandere male lead that isn't already fully powerful.
It's so rare that ML is so interested on a person they love that they figure out themselves who she is without her needing to explain anything. And it's also rare that author writes it in a way that shows he needs to put effort into it. Usually it's just ML's minions investigate and then randomly ML knows everything... Commonly when FL was abused.
But someone being abused doesn't mean it's the whole personality.
I kinda like it that ML has to do some parts that often are made to be just "women's job" (Or uke's job) in the relationship. He is willingly taking on and carrying on a lot of emotional burden. He is also doing that while being the king of the nation.
I just love it that it's not again women's job to carry the story. Even in many BLs side character women has the biggest impact of the plot, especially emotional side, and many people don't notice it. I'm not sure do even authors themselves notice it and accidentally write women like that, because it's just so normal - and same thing with most MLs.
Too often when FL tries to pair ML with someone it's clear that ML have feelings for FL, or it's some isekai shiet that FL things they should be together.
This time everything is so ambiguous, that it makes sense. There hasn't really been clear romantic feelings from FL or ML, even if there is some caring, pairing him up with a good person isn't a bad idea.
If this had been manhwa BL instead manga yaoi, the main thing he got from snake would have been two huge dicks and barely anything else. xP
I like that this is manga so that isn't the main focus.
People who clown about his protection not being top priority or BS like that... Can they actually read or are they legally blind while reading comics?
The tracking system, watch, that are supposed to follow him even inside the center were taken down. And inside the center area is supposed to be safer than this, even if there would be monsters close by, that is the whole damn reason he can't go outside the area on his own. He wonders how the monster is randomly just there.
There were quite multiple things that hinted almost with neon-signs to the readers it being deliberate trap, if someone bothers to actually read and look at the pictures. I know it's bad AI translation, but it's quite clear enough that something isn't right with the hints that were given.
