So, for all those people who want the two to end up together-there is no romance tag. Do-hoon had a horrible past and you have to blame his current state on the adults but that doesn't mean only he can bring Yuwon happiness. If we take the example of the story then as the chestnut tree Yuwon is ready to help anyone if they wish to be by his side, Seongmin was a perfect example of that. I know for sure that the story ends up with the hunters coming back and either cutting down or buring the chestnut tree so a similar ending seems like the most likely outcome for these two as well. Yuwon loves Do-hoon, that's a fact but Do-hoon himself made it so that Yuwon couldn't breath around him and needed Seongmin. Making Seongmin disappear even after Yuwon begged him not too and isolating him is what's gonna cause Do-hoon's downfall.
Honestly I feel like this manwha will have an open ending
i want them two to end up together but definitely it won't be romance as it's psychological. sometimes ending together is a bad ending. if that's the case i dont want it. overall I want them to be at peace. however, i feel dohun is too fucked up beyond total repair. and it's also hard for him to let go of yuwon.
Ive seen people on reddit call this trash and hating on it because its all about the side characters glazing mc and that it doesnt have enough acting. These are the types of people who read stories with the same damn plot and then call it slop.
This story isnt about a man who got a second chance and wants to grab onto every opportunity and impress people. NO. This story is about a genius or someone even beyond that.
As a conman he didnt just act he also made the cons and the characters and situations. He would understand his victims and how they would react and then design a scene accordingly. Hes a genius and he knows it. HE KNEW IT IN HIS BEFORE REGRESSION TOO.
This series doesnt just use the mc being a genius as a tool to cause small plots and characters just being jealous or hopeless against him. It shows how people want to cling onto a genius. how they want to be apart of his world. and the lengths they are willing to go to make him see them and use him.
The main focus was never his acting or the plot of the movies he made or even his so called split personality. Its his destiny to be a genius and he has to use that genius to convey his view of the world and people and emotions to the audience.
If i had to use real life examples then satyajit rays devi, curry barkers obsession and kane parsons backrooms would be the type of movies he makes and wants to make. Movies that sends a message while diving deep into human psyche and societal expectations and the animal instinct that we have buried deep in our minds and hearts.
Im ot sure if its just me but ive always wanted to real a story where the main character is a genius and instead of just making him conquer every hurdle like broken record the author dives into the mind and expectations from being a genius.
