I would like the story to have investigated exactly what happened leading to the event of Hwa rim releasing her grandmother’s twin melded with a false god. What was her own choice and what choice was influenced by the trickery of the false god/twin? Was it her own choice to disobey the grandmother and unleash it or was she influenced? Why didn’t she tell her grandmother she made eye contact? What is the extent of its power’s when it was in such a weakened trapped state? And how does Hwa rim feel no guilt that her actions, perhaps voluntary or involuntary, lead to her grandmother sacrificing herself for her?

This is one fucked up manga that is a complex web of fucked misogyny. If you read the author’s first interviews on what he wanted to explore in this manga, it is explicitly what it would be like for a male mind to be put in a female body and how that man would cope with that. Despite this there is not one female character that is well fleshed out or well written or treated with respect. It is completely male centric. Using the female body this way is weird and fucked up. It seems fetishizing and weird, you’ve even removed the female mind, his literal sister who’s body he’s in wasn’t written with respect or any depth, she’s depicted as promiscuous, and specifically making it his sister who’s body he takes over and his tortured feelings of lust seems like some weird fetish.
