It's stupid and cruel for them to leave her in the dark. They're all like "it's ok if you're miserable for a few years, I have plans to save the day in the end." Not checking on her or contacting her for two years. She is lucky that her family is kind and that she figured out a way for them to make money. In reality the three nobles would be planning to "save her" while letting her believe she was hated and abandoned, while being neglected, living in abject poverty, possibly dying on the streets, forced to sell her body, or taken advantage of. And Annette not contacting the family whole raised her even once! They all know that Anna and the family are smart enough to understand and act appropriately. It's cruel to be like "it's ok if I willingly choose to make them suffer, as long as I'm thinking of them in the long run."
Also, the recent chapters just make Annette even worse. So she became a noble just to chase after her crush? So what if she ruined Anna's life and her engagement.
I wish when they come back, Anna just flat out rejects them all. She doesn't need them and they should regret making her and her family suffer mentally and financially for years. But I know the author is going to make her accept them because she's "kind hearted."
Listen, I get that he's flawed and he loves her. BUT he is emotionally abusive (stonewalling and neglect is abuse!) and sexually abusive (he ALWAYS tries to solve their relationship issues by coercing Maxi, especially later). I'm sick of him never saying goodbye to her when she leaves (multiple times) and giving her the cold shoulder every time she does anything he doesn't agree with.
Maxi is flawed too, but she's constantly working on improving her communication skills and confidence. Riftan doesn't even try to improve and doesn't believe he needs to change -- he just sulks or tries to fix things with sex (never followed by conversation). Or the author has him do a grand heroic gesture like saving her life or sacrificing himself -- sparing him from ever having to put real work into the relationship.
I mean seriously a noble woman shouldn't be able to step out of her room at night without a maid or guard with her. Where is Lumie? Before Sina came he would have been posted outside Lan's room and even if he was resigned, it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't replace him and not protect the lady of the house, especially after a kidnapping... I know it's a fantasy manga but it's unrealistic to establish that the lady always has a personal guard then forget it.

I want Rosa to end up with the chubby old guy. I don't care if he's not a handsome ML. She is actually attracted to him and he seems like an honestly reliable, intelligent, loyal, good person. I don't want her to end up with the idiot husband, even if he is trying harder. Why does an absolute baddy need to be with a guy that's so far below her level?
She’s literally her father’s foster brother….. ohhh baby you’re weird ☠
*he’s
Oh we didnt know that! Thanks for the info ^^
He isn't related to her by blood and it seems like they never met or interacted before she was an adult and marriagable age. And after they met, they mainly respect each other's intelligence, manners, and work-ethic. He and her dad may have grown up together, but they don't call each other brother and rarely think of each other as brothers -- more like friends. And he and her dad have also been separated for nearly two decades. He's never been with other women and is extremely respectful. It doesn't seem incestuous to me -- I get that he's older than her, but did I miss something?
