The moment MC took over and end up tearing his own ass... all that tough guy act of ML cracked. His real colors showed.
He was worried about his hyung.
That's the point.
Some of you genuinely struggle to understand characters who aren't one-dimensional. Characters can be abrasive and caring. They can be cruel in one moment and vulnerable in the next. They can put up walls while still loving someone deeply.
Layers and contradictions don't make a character inconsistent. It's the author's way in making them human.
Louder!! This story shows characters complexity in such a detailed way, everything is consistent, of course they both care about each other, but they are still struggling, just amazing writing!
Byul, fucking stop. You and your golden fuckin hair grew up in a loving family. You'll never truly understand what Hyesung has been through, and trying to force her into your idea of what a family should be is completely fucked up.
But I understand the MC. Damn. The easiest solution to all of his current problems is to stay, lean on someone, share his burdens, and accept help. But for someone who has spent a long, long time carrying everything alone... someone who has only ever been able to rely on himself and for someone who has never been dealt a fair hand by fate, it isn't that simple.
When life has been unfair to you over and over again, a safe place can feel terrifying. Because what if that safety disappears? What if that salvation is only temporary? You can't help but wonder what happens when it's taken away.
That's why the MC doesn't want to fully rely on ML.

ML is planning to lock both of them inside just to keep MC safe is deym. This is a completely different kind of confinement than anything I've seen in yaoi before. This man seriously needs therapy. But we all know he's not really a black flag. He's someone struggling with PTSD, and seeing the love of his life come so close to death only intensified his trauma.
Also... MC is absolutely going to walk right into that cage room anyway. Lol.
