Saw raws up to Vol 4 and I guess I expected too much from this series, typical toxic trops, and that rape was really unnecessary, totally destroyed their dynamic for me, what is sad when it's added out of nowhere so later in the plot, when you're already invested in the story, and they didn't even address that... at this point it's just another series pushing angst by force... the further the worse

So only a quick thought, because now I'm wondering, would Ye-gyum have left Jooyung and went after Jooin right away at that last scene of the main story, if Jooyung hadn't let him go saying 'I don't need you anymore'? Just wondering, if it wouldn't be better if that first step in letting go was done by him himself, not being ordered by his 'owner', of course no doubt, Ye-gyum never truly wanted an owner, he was stucked in that, like he said, all he ever wanted is to have a lover, to love and be loved, and Jooin is everything to him, I just find this one piece maybe missing from his development journey perspective, because the fact that you're doing the step on your own is more powerful in the matter of healing.
Either way, I love this story, it's complex, touching tough aspects of trauma, and yes, Jooin and Ye-gyum are ment to be, amazing lovely relationship!

Absolutely worth the read. I was weary at first because I usually hate time travel when it comes to relationships and I thought the age gap might be a bit weird. The story exceeded my expectations and nothing sexual happened while MC was still a child. (I would not condone a 11 yr old hanging out with a 28 yr old in real life but this is fiction so I will let it slide.) The last 10 chapters really tied the story together and honestly had me tearing up a bit.

this is so beautiful, everything is well-written. and I love how every problem was solved by the end of it. I had a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this. it was painful, it was comforting, but most of all—it was as warm as summer.
let me just say it was an absolute DELIGHT to see shinobu sulking, being jealous and cravinggg his boyfriend ughh
I really understand that there are these sick people who have such disgusting kinks...but it never ceases to amaze me what goes through the minds of authors to create and draw such horrible stories... society is degrading...and such stories doesn't help, as brainwashed people don't see anything wrong with that and later this changes their perception of reality, saw it already many times...

Whole 'Lover Boy' universe never was my thing. Sparkling baby is definitely less frustrating and dragged on, you can really see how much Zec improved from that time! I'm happy Hanjun has his happy ending, because after all that shit Jaeha put him through, gosh! Yeah, I'm not Lover Boy fan, especially Jaeha and his back and forward all the time, my poor Eunho, also Hanjun went through hell because of him!
Hanjun and Yujin are really good together, I love how it was nit sex concentrated, they really somehow found their way to each other, finally talk and communication instead of years of chasing, unnecessary dragged drama and wasting time...
Sparkling baby is a really good read, definitely recommend! Still in my opinion The New Recruit is the best from this author, and hope we'll get more this kind of stories from her!
This is a tough one, like jumping into the misery abyss! Story is really traumatic, one tragic event after another, what Geom went through is just devastating! Wooyeon is there to treat his wounds, but Geom is still in this evil circle of repeating hell trying to get out. Everyone else who Geom met on his way was only an another piece dragging him down into this abyss. He's tough, trying to survive somehow through all these years.
Storytelling is captivating, slowly we know more of the traumatic part and what brought him into this hell. Characters design is also good, interesting profiles and the way all these events affect them, even when only a few of these characters are likable, all other degenerates on Geom's path should rot in hell! Especially Prosecutor and Rieder, and not be even considered as any kind of sick 'love interest', disgusting pricks who are using people as tools!
There are ups and downs through the whole story, Geom forced to be an escort is making two steps forward, one step back all the time, but slowly trying to reach the freedom.
Honestly, my only problem with this series are really dragged and visual rape scenes, many of them truly unnecessary, not giving anything to the plot, but portraited as something 'sexual', I saw many comments stating that 'sex scenes are beautiful' here, where rape shouldn't be seen as something beautiful at all, the aim should be to show the tragic situation, how disgusting rape events were which broke Geom multiple times. I know real victims of similar events, and the way it's showed here... is just inappropriate. I know it's fiction, and I know sex sells, but I think authors are going into a wrong direction lately, and rape is getting normalized and standardized in BL series, unfortunately used as a tool to show smut and also fetishing rape what later distorts the view of many readers. Even Geom said by the end, that his first actual sex was with Wooyeon, everything before was just a disgusting abuse and misery!
Redemption part was clever, maybe not fully reached in some cases, I wanted some of these assholes to suffer more, they deserved that, but still better then nothing!
Geom and Wooyeon finally reached they happy together phase, treating their bruises and removing scars, finally together were they always wanted to be. So putting everything together, it was a satisfying ending, hopefully they will never meet any of these abusers ever again on their road.
In general, this is a good read, not for everyone of course, portraying a very dark side of life but also the path of getting out of the bottom.
Recommend to those who can appreciate the good plot, handle multiple sexual abuse content in series, understand the main message and not be bothered by some incorrectly portraited visually acts and overused SA, as it's very triggering...
but definitely not to reread...

I was invested since the beginning! So, obviously Season 1 is a gem! Season 2, after such a long wait, it's still good, but maybe not on the same high level as Season 1 for me, still love Jin and Matthew! The chemistry, storytelling, characters development, perfection!
Only pieces which were missing for me at the end:
1) Brandon in a fucking jail! Like, seriously?! He's free?! Wth?!
2) to see some panels of them leaving together, maybe how Jin is Matthew's model again, how they work together for their own future
3) also, no fully addressing the situation where Jin called 'Boss' while being under drug influence during sex with Matthew - in general, I think this part was added to have Matthew doubting if he's the one Jin needs the most (of course we know it's only Matthew)
I mean, it was all just drug trauma talking, and like Jin mentioned - don't let what I said while all doped up get to 'you', so maybe that was to close this topic, either way, that scene was painful to read so probably I wanted some much more defined closure here
Of course, Jin told Matthew that the 'relationship' with Brandon was nothing like theirs, that it was more like a shitty movie that wouldn't end, so probably Matthew got it
And of course Matthew knows now that since the beginning Jin was doing everything for him, all that gangsta stuff, drugs, he was stick there and was loyal to Brandon for money...to get his Potato out of that shitty life! Damn, Love it! It was always Matthew!
In general, I love how Jaxx didn't overused toxic BL trops, story is truly focused on Jin and Matthew, from the very beginning, and this is why it's just one of these unique series!
