Heads up for my fellow prudes who mostly prefer stories where the couple stays monogamous/exclusive to each other once they meet (even if they’re not “officially” together). This can include sex with others during break up/timeskip, cheating, hookups with others due to being non-exclusive fwb, rape, sexual assault, etc

I know the MC was raped, I said as much. I don’t even care when an MC is raped by the ML, I just prefer everything to be between the two when reading fiction. Lots of other stories include rape in the narrative, but not all of them are as explicit, some are implied to have happened “off screen.” My comment was to warn others it was graphic and in your face if they care about that stuff ¯_(ツ)_/¯
This was an interesting read! Despite the dark themes and topics, the affection MJ and Doc show toward one another is surprisingly sticky sweet! Wish there was more content of them living their happily ever after and about doc’s family but maybe it’s a sign I should read the novel!
