I don't like how the uke acts. Throw tomatoes at me all you like as I say this, but as someone whos suicidal, mentally ill, and does self-harm, the way they made the uke matches the stereotype of how people talked about yk. I don't like how it fits into that stereotype. I know this is how some mentally ill people act irl but if you actually read my comment twice, youll get what I mean (or at least I hope so) ˶ˊᜊˋ˶

Hey I hope you’re okay, I completely understand your point but for these authors and this industry most things remain as fetish content. What we can do is raise awareness in whatever ways we can, take care and stay strong
i both feel you but also am kind of just enjoying seeing an uke with scars tbh. like im absolutely covered in them and he is too so even if the rep is garbage i enjoy relating in that way, at least. nothing to relate to on how his mental illness is presented, though, lmao (im borderpolar myself). it is definitely 1D and inaccurate to many people's experiences. so i definitely agree with you there.
personally, im just not taking any of this seriously or expecting good rep. it's mostly just a pornhwa so i dont think people are really looking that deeply into how his issues are being presented. they're not very layered characters so it kind of just is what it is. stereotypes sort of come with the territory. the kinds of authors who make this sort of content just arent interested in accurately exploring mental health/self harm.
that being said, please dont read it if it upsets/triggers you in any way. protect your peace, you know? im personally not taking it seriously and reading for fun, but if it negatively impacts your mental health, or the uke frustrates you too much, dont bother with it. this is a car crash dumpster fire kind of story anyway lol. you wont be missing out.
