… has a real talent for comedic writing. I am really enjoying the plot thoroughly. The MC is just a hot mess of hilarity.
She’s as frail as fried glass noodles but she has not only stabilized his territory, but made improvements, all while caring for his comatose ass for years. Then he wakes up and starts treating her like she’s too weak to do anything and now he’s isolating her even further away? I get so many mixed signals from him that I can’t tell if he should scratch his watch or wind his butt at this point…
And the emperor’s expression looked like he has just seen his first Camero up close and the Pinto he drove up in just dropped its clutch. That mistress could be problematic for everyone…?
… Queue the resignation and departure leading to red-flag douche canoe’s obsessive pursuit to reclaim her after realizing she is his one true match..zzzzzzzzz. Still going to read it anyway because reality sucks donkey nards.
…Connie didn’t go dark because of Ian. She wants to keep Bell to herself… Saw it coming but didn’t think it would go down that path with all the debutante behavior.
… it’s irritating and disingenuous to have the MC constantly blushing and playing the virgin at full tilt. It’s not cute and it’s boring. The ML is far more engaging and sympathetic as a character than the supposedly modern transmigrator who should know the mechanics of the horizontal lambada and should be less pre-teen and more mature about it? Is the target demographic of this story supposed to be the tween set? All the eeking is just sooooooo lame and I’m only 11 chapters in…
... I was going to say, why break the law, just find a dude outside the kingdom and marry him...
With all the other stories I’m reading, my heart was starting to feel tattered and worn down. These authors are so damn determined to make readers understand how flawed we are as a species and I’ve been swimming in sorrow until my fingers became pruney. Thank you, Pession. Just… thank you.
... still, if I were Michel, I might be a bit pissed at the reveal because it's such a trap. He was going to feel like sh*t either way - love 'im and leave 'im for the "betrothed" or fall in love and beg to elope, abandoning the "betrothed." $2 says that Michel is going to face vilification and scorn either way. Well, it should be interesting from here out, but I would still sulk in a dark room, burrowed into a high, wing-back chair in front of a roaring fire, all Poe-like for at least a month to demonstrate my displeasure at being played.
...Do they know HOW to smile? Are they just consciously avoiding situations that could inadvertently generate levity? I just feel so damn sad after every freaking episode and it's like I'm powerless to abandon this damn story because I want them to find solace in each other...
... is beautiful. You would think that the sandy hair and gray eyes would make him look dull and forgettable, but he's just lovely, like the sunrise through translucent curtains that make everything look soft and cozy.
I don’t often just dump on a character, but the author flubbed this MC hard. ML is well developed, multi-faceted, and endearing. A little goofy, but strong and forthright, but her? I’ve read 17 bloody chapters and she is as dull as dirt with her “yer mah lil’ bruhther” dipshittery. I rarely don’t not care about how a story ends, even the bad ones, but I really just hope that she stays in her little boring town that she loves in her little bookstore with her little life and her little pangs of regret and fades into her boring demise as she watches everyone else live with vigor and joy and anger and fear and curiosity. She has an opportunity and she is just waiting to be convinced that it’s worth it to take a chance. Zzzzzzs….
I don’t think his display of possession is going to have the effect he intended. Crazy dude is just going to see it as a challenge and spend the entire session analyzing the compound for vulnerabilities, including the staff…
Holy crow, her trousseau is amazing! Beleth has amazing taste. That rose-colored gown in the panels where she gave the gems from her veil to Nalphas was beautiful.
That man’s flag is as green as his eyes. But the others in the household just kill me with how they’re always bursting through and flinging themselves around like behaving as humans never occurs to them. It’s hilarious. I’m still in the earlier chapters but it’s like Beryl has adopted a pack of giant gorgeous puppies and one insanely beautiful wolf.
... Jiheon getting all butt-hurt now that his simp has moved on is standard plotting, but I get weird icky love-em-and-leave-em vibes from Chris. I hope that she puts some steel in her spine and moves on to a physical therapy job outside of that baseball team and finds a good guy who wants a relationship and not just skinship.
The art? Stunning! The characters? Otherworldly and ethereal… The setting? Fabulous. The plot? I’m pining for every chapter like it’s my job.
Noah? Uuummm… I need him in my life with his baby dragon.
