We get occasional references to ML being an alpha, one mention of pheromones, and MC doesn’t even outright say he’s an omega until basically the end. It added nothing to the story whatsoever so why even bother? That’s not my only complaint but it’s definitely a big one.
No one’s reactions ever make any sense. The mood swings are ridiculous. Nan and Yiyeon flip from hot to cold to hot again with absolutely no warning and with little explanation. The side characters are just as odd. I’m just trying to rationalize it all and can seem to put any of it together. Just a weird story with very very strange (and unlikable) characters.

It’s a convoluted love triangle and that’s obviously early on. But it’s not poly. Spoiler, Joon does end up picking just one guy. The problem is that the final smut scene of the story is not with the guy he chooses. In fact, I think we actually get more smut with that pairing than we do with the final pairing. Why is that? Add to that the fact that those scenes are all dubcon and it’s just a huge disappointment. I will say though, there is entertainment to be had here simply because not a single character is in their right mind. They’re all insane, some more than others, some WAY more than others. So don’t write it off fully if you can tolerate its negative aspects because the escalation into pure chaos is definitely memorable.
Did a reread before reading the new-ish side stories and I still just felt so sad reading the first half of the story. Yungeom feels like an irredeemable pos and he should be but once you learn what he’s been through you start to sympathize. He can never ever make up for what he put Saein through but jeez is he going to try. At least he knows how badly he messed up.
Also the first half of the side stories? Hated it. Unnecessary and painful and upsetting. The second half of the side stories? Exciting, fulfilling, how a story like this should strive to end. Gonna be angry about that first side story for a while though.

He’s already top of his school and nationally ranked I’m guessing, this won’t actually improve his already stellar record. All it’s doing is ensuring he rebels because what the actual fuck. I get his dad is trying to compete but like Jaemin is almost definitely better than that other guy’s kid doing what he’s already doing so what’s the point? He has clear bruises on his face, go to the fucking police and scream until they do something and make your dad look like a piece of shit and any time he tries to pull something in retaliation scream about it again. Ruin his reputation he deserves it. I’m mad.
