This update combined with can’t think straight make me think that I accomplished something good in a past life and am finally being rewarded. Or maybe I’ve built up enough good karma holding open doors for strangers or something. Either way I am happy as a pig in mud or however the saying goes.

I’m obligated to put my wedding day in first place but damn if I wasn’t married this would be the best day of my life. Am I being dramatic? Yes. Do I care? No. If Jaehyuk and Garam can finally be happy together then life is great.

Summarizing the plot out loud was just too funny I couldn’t help myself. The funniest parts for me are the scenes that are entirely irrelevant to the main plot. Like when Jordyn’s dad shows up at his office, Jordyn says he’s getting divorced for real, and the dad just leaves and we never see him again. And the scene in the police station with the cops basically saying it’s a civil matter. Literally nothing in this story matters or has consequences and that’s why it’s hilarious. Owen bottoming 10000% saved it from being 1 star.

And don’t get me wrong, I would be all over additional content for these two. But it wraps up so comfortably and cleanly that I don’t feel like I’ve been left hanging at all. Everything is tied up with a bow so well that it’s like a breath of fresh air. Love it.

They both suffered and struggled so much but still managed to find happiness together. I adore the way that Seongwoon would check in with Yeonwoo and ask if he was happy. Depression is awful and scary and unforgiving, not just for the person who has it but also for the people around them. So taking the time to think about and process your emotions in the moment is so important. I’m gonna go cry myself to sleep.

I think of myself as something of a smut connoisseur, and the smut in this is VERY high quality. It isn’t filled with unnecessary moans or dirty talk, it’s literally just Yujae and Hanjun feeling each other and gauging their reactions and going with what feels right in the moment. It’s more like actual, real life sex than I usually see in manhwa and it was so nice to read for a change. There are ways to show that two characters desire one another than just relentlessly pounding away and moaning uncontrollably lol. Anyways that’s my take as a smut sommelier.

But he needs to understand that Gyuwon is an adult who doesn’t need his protection now. This will be the catalyst for him to process that. Though Woonha is going to take this soooo badly so I’m nervous about what comes next.

Feel like I’m gonna be on my death bed asking for their relationship to evolve past the research and sex (I mean I like the sex very much so keep doing that from time to time please). I just need the angst and the feelings and the happy part before I pass on.

You can tell this is a story that was written without a solid end goal in mind. A random thing will happen immediately followed by another random thing and so on. That said, I really love the main characters and a bunch of the supporting characters too.

Also, for probably the first time ever, I called out a smut scene as a dream but it actually happened. I’ve never been wrong on this until now. That’s just a testament to how random stuff just happens in this story lmao.

It’s starting out with a super exciting kink I don’t see very often, characters that seem to have interesting stories to tell, lotsssss of smut, it’s so far up my alley that it’s applying for residency here. Soooo excited to see where it goes (please don’t be short!!!).

I would read the fuck out of that, I’m sure it would be slop but it just sounds like a great premise lmao

Will start by saying that otherwise this is a pretty entertaining read. It would’ve been a 4/5 otherwise but without clarification on this I can’t give it higher than a 3.

How long was Sooyeon actually left waiting for Honam? Weeks? Months? The timeline is left unclear. If Sooyeon cracked and gave in to Dajun after only like six weeks, that’s a problem. But if the lack of contact, secrecy and lies was ongoing for six months? I can see and understand why Sooyeon broke down. I’m not condoning what he did, but he must’ve felt so lonely and it’s not like he could’ve ended things with Honam anyway since he couldn’t even reach him. But having the knowledge that he waited for so long to be met with nothing would make it forgivable imo. The relationship was basically over by then, maybe not in Honam’s eyes but in Dajun’s.

Also (and this is an even bigger spoiler), I’m glad that Honam’s memories didn’t come back. It would’ve made things so much harder for everyone. I appreciate his honesty that he regrets becoming human though, even if it’s far too late.

Please let this be the time for them to actually speak their minds and hear one another without jumping to conclusions or leaving things out or being scared. Have an honest to god heart to heart and put everything out there.

Like man I can’t even think of another manhwa that has hurt me like this. It’s so uncomfortable and painful and I want to die. Goddamn. Sticking it out obv but ugh.
