When I was scrolling through reels I came across this one manhwa called "escape from salvation " and it is also illustrated by the same artist as roses and champagne.
I searched it up here and cant seem to find it. I dont know if it is here in the site yet or not.
Can some one tell me where I can read it cause I reallyyy want to ╥﹏╥

I don't know if in the only one but the one thing I really liked in this manhwa is how it displayed the toxic relationship of haesu and mincheol. Like at the start all you see is a naive and a very pushover haesu who for some stupid reason stays and takes care of her ugly ahh bitch ass ex husband of an asshole. Then later we get their story and the fact that mincheol was actually once a nice guy who treated haesu really nicely and was a green flag who even sacrificed his future to save her really surprised me. He turned into an asshole because he wasn't ready to take responsibility of his action and started hating on haesu for it. At first i thought he was just a one dimensional asshole guy who's only purpose is to make taeha look as the more appealing choice to the readers. And even though that was partly his role his character has more debt than I originally thought . It also makes more sense why haesu was putting up with mincheol. She feels indebted to him and feels guilty as well. The past memories where he was such a nice guy holds her back. And that's how most toxic relationship works and it's the first time I have seen such a representation in a manhwa. Though I am not a big fan of this manhwa cause of how dragging it is with barely any development , i have to say they did actually make some plot and arc pretty interesting. The manhwa had a lot of potential but was poorly executed and made into a corn slop with extreme fan services and cringe troupes and a forever dragging plotline
The thing is, comparing him now to the past him, I don’t think he ever truly saved her out of the goodness of his heart. He has a savior complex, he’s so narcissistic and thinks that because he gave his life up for her (which he didn’t? He fucked his own life up being a dumbass) she can’t live without him anymore. Great comment tho!
I agree with every word. I think the bad pacing is due to manhwa practices (one chapters a week schedule contracts — same with webnovels which share slow pacing) and monetary reasons. It's doing consistently well in terms of reader/click counts and always a top read = author is earning a lot. Such practice allow it to be a high long-term income (a luxury for webtoon authors) . Rage bait is pretty great too while the premise of Mincheol & ari getting punished and Her and Taeha getting HEA kept the reader glue, the same way the author of Remarried Empress hook by slowing increasing the unjustice done by the ""villains", the more the thirst for retribution and NEED to see it increase in the reader.... Plus it just human nature people are more reactive and obsessive when face with faced by injustice more than the good natured stuff.
" extreme fanservice" the manhwa is deadass a SMUT, and this fanservice is not even extreme as most shonen work's, the thing would just be better if the author did not exxegrated on her arms size
