If the antagonists were better written, they usually become the main character as it seems. Itās like the authors only have enough energy to put detailed effort into 2 characters per series - I assume due to their tight scheduled deadlines. Sometimes 3 characters but usually at the beginning and almost always drops down again to 2.
Every time I read a Korean Josei, I wonder why it ends (or begins) with the female lead pregnant. Then I remind myself that itās a great narrative device and that South Korea has an extremely low birth rate, so such fertility is viewed positively in fiction (especially in this genre).
Can you recommend any Josei (smut or not, it doesn't matter) where the female lead doesn't have children (neither before nor after meeting the male lead)?
