This guy has three love interests yet somehow this guy seems to have the worst life out of all the characters so far (I'm at chapter 28) and the one that he wants doesn't want him back.
1st love interest: His fiancee. Bro's fiancee doesn't like him romantically, is literally down bad for ML's sister, and bro doesn't want her either.
2nd love interest: Main character. She doesn't like him romantically, probably has a small crush on ML, low status so they have a low chance of actually getting together, and he wants her so bad. I can feel the yearning
First off, I just wanna say that I really like this story and how nuanced it was. It completely exceeded my expectations as someone who thought it was just gonna be an average story I would read to be happy because stories that have nuance are often angsty or on hiatus for two years.
It's a rare kind of story because I pretty much like every character (that was developed ofc) in this story and I never once disliked any of them. I have a short fuse so a lot of stories make me angry easily (and it's common even in well made stories so I think it's a me problem) and whenever I read something that doesn't, it makes me extremely happy and fulfilled.
Onto the frustrating part (spoilers ahead)

This was so good and it would've been a 5/5 if the ending wasn't like that
AMNESIA??? SERIOUSLY??? OH AND I DON'T EVEN GET TO SEE ML AND FL BEING A COUPLE? THE PART WHERE THEY WENT OUT FOR A DATE WAS IN NO WAY ENOUGH!
Seriously, if the author REALLY REALLY WANTED TO DO AMNESIA, they could have at least gave us 3 chapters of them starting over. Or it could also go like Surviving Romance where MC forgets but ML remembers or something like that.
The main thing I'm frustrated about is how we were given this illusion where we would get to see ML and FL eventually becoming a couple, doing couple things, and perhaps a time skip BUT NO! WE GET A SMALL SNIPPET!
The build up was completely wasted and I feel deceived ╥﹏╥
I need to know two things:
Firstly, which chapter does the manager get fired? I'm going to start reading this from that chapter onwards. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Secondly, please reply to this comment if MC ever EVER becomes confident and stops trying to exclude himself (Ik it's gonna take quite a while but pls pls pls I need to know when it happens) ╥﹏╥
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu and have a nice week
*SPOILER WARNING*
You cam fine the other spoilers from novel updates
First are we talking about the problematic manager or PD yoo hansu? If its Pd yoo hansu its around ch 135-139 in the novel, as for the problematic manager its around 242-246(?)
Second, iwol will be more confident. But that might take a long time it took like idk 530ish chapter.
Yep. Even Kiyeon had to go for therapy, and later Spark's personal managing team decided to watch over the members' mental health as well after some reforms to the company. Thankfully, that trashy manager is the last bad staff member.
However, there are still some bad encounters outside of the company like trashy rival groups, a broadcasting station, one of the rival group's company, and 3 lowlife parents.
Lemme add more pain. The suicide attempt, jeho iwol divorce arc, the shitty ass system, what else? Oh right iwol tried to leave the group (⌒▽⌒), and the group became more depressed. At least the happy ending was so worth it. I really like spark and the members chemistry so much. The angst is sooo flavorful to the point whenever there's a cute chap u cant help but have anxiety
Basically, Iwol has PTSD over Jeho because his boss's daughter's bias is Jeho. He had to create all sorts of photo edits and more by being Spark's proxy fan. Spark was also really bad at fan service and had a bad relationship due to misunderstandings and bottling things up. Jeho pretty much thought Iwol hated him and this one incident misled him to confirm this misunderstanding. Iwol wasn't able to explain anything due to system constraints over his past life. However, he had to break that rule a bit to resolve things which led to some temporary blood loss.
[INCOMING RANT ALERT!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! ]
Haven't read the entire thing yet (and it's still ongoing), but I just gotta say that this is a very VERY refreshing read among the numerous main characters that have to bottle everything up and let people step all over them. I've never been so happy reading a story when it isn't a silly or lighthearted one. ╥﹏╥
Of course, there are "badass" main characters that do go toe to toe against antagonists but most of the time, they're the same! Except, oh, this character trash talks and roasts the antagonists in their head! Wow! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
So satisfyi—ok never mind, the main character just got slapped and they gotta take it like a champ because how dare you lash out? How DARE you go against the culture norm of most Asians by not being passive aggressive and smiling through the pain? How dare you actually express your feelings and hate a character that has been treating you horribly instead of being grateful? How dare you be anything less than picture perfect?

Did that get you fired up? Do YOU want to defend a badass character you have in mind that doesn't fit this main character mold? Reply to this comment with a link to the story or the title!
PS: I don't really mind this kind of characters, in fact, it used to be one of my favorite main character molds. However, it's everywhere and it's just exhausting when they keep appearing regardless whether I want to read a story about such a character at all. Oh, and I may be reading too much manhwa lately so the rant is so long (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Lastly, I swear this was totally not a bait for badass main characters. Nuh uh. (⊙…⊙ )

Do not read unless you've read until chapter 99 (it's not exactly spoilers but still...)

I'm being delusional right now because of the cliffhanger BUT HEAR ME OUT! They said those scenes MC and ML saw were what they needed to "prevent", however, they clearly haven't seen the full thing of what happens in their alternate universe, so what if one of them ends up dying later and that's what needs to be prevented?
OR! THIS WHOLE THING NEEDS TO BE PREVENTED SO THAT THEY GET TOGETHER ANYWAY? WHAT IF IT'S FOR A SPECIFIC LINE UP OF EVENTS TO HAPPEN????
Or perhaps, it's supposed to be prevented BECAUSE it leads to an unfortunate event! Think about it, ML seems to become more possessive and overprotective, which may have actually made MC decide to distance himself and things escalated, WHICH IS WHY IT NEEDS TO BE PREVENTED! IT'S A SIGN MADE TO ML FOR HIM TO CHILL! MAYBE IT'S A META THING LIKE ORV!!!!
Overall, I liked this even though it had stuff I usually wouldn't like and its own flaws. (Long review incoming ( ̄∇ ̄") )
Things I appreciated/liked in this story:
- The main character's unique personality. I don't believe there is another character quite like him. At first, I thought he was just going to be yet another dense MC used for comedic relief and to show off how "smart" his love interest is, but he wasn't. He had actual emotional depth and he wasn't as dumb as we are made to believe.
- MC stayed true to his beliefs. If he didn't want to do more than simple guiding, he did not — even under manipulation/pressure. When he believed ML truly needed his guiding and wanted to guide him, he persisted through ML's discouragement and succeeded in doing what he thought was best for ML.
- The story successfully convinced me that the whole run away arc was needed for two main reasons —the ML's horrible communication skills that led to MC feeling upset and the further development of MC. Both of these reasons contribute a lot to the story, so I personally thought it was good thing it was fleshed out using this arc. Next, since I already felt that this arc was necessary, naturally, I didn't feel repulsed by them getting back together again. In fact, I think MC does the running away troupe well. (At least compared to the female leads of Otome Isekai)
Stuff I didn't like in this story:
- The lack of development for MC's relationships with ML's guild members. There was minimal interactions, and none of the members had their characters or backstory fleshed out. Their relationships with one another were extremely surface level.
- That one guild member lashing out at MC. It was understandable but there were no consequences at all (or perhaps there was, but it was shown off screen), which was mildly disheartening. Speaking of consequences, there were none for the guy who kept trying to make MC leave ML, worse still, they're acting as if they are friends. Perhaps MC is just dense, but it's disappointing.
- ML's improvement should have been shown more to readers through more chapters. It wasn't enough considering the amount of change the ML would have to go through for MC since he was originally a red flag ML.
There are songs for this manhwa titled under "The Dawn" on YouTube! It's fanmade and amazing, so give it a listen! (There are multiple songs AHHHHHHHHH) (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Personally I'm not into a dynamic like this, and I prefer characters that are in a relationship to be both unhinged or normal so I'm going to drop this. I'm sure that there are a lot of people who also don't like stuff like this but I don't understand why there are so many hate comments? If you don't like it, drop the story, why are you cursing the author or shitting on the story just because it's not to your taste? (⊙…⊙ )
