Because the story had potential but turned bad, it's disappointing and makes shipping the main couple idiotic (just like Jinx). Yes I've read stories that contain rape as part of the backstory or someone's trauma. It can be a legit part of character development and depth. Saezuru Tori was Habatakanai does it masterfully.
