This season ending final was insane?? The paneling?? The overlapping storylines??
This series is so well-written and the art is utterly gorgeous. I could read this a thousand times over and not get tired of it. I really hope there will be a physical version of this. If others are also interested, please try to fill out the reader survey in sevenseasentertainment.com!
I feel like at the beginning the mc really had potential but he lost all his values and backbone after meeting the ml. Before he stood up to his coworker who was mean to the new staff member, but later when the ml is a jerk towards a less experienced member of the project he basically just lets it go? Someone said in a different thread that the author is demonstrating what adults should do in real life situations but I disagree. The ml is a pretentious jerk who really gives off that holier than thou vibe. The mc doesn’t have a backbone and easily forgives the ml for lying to him and continuing to antagonize him with the account even after knowing how he felt about it. They aren’t properly solving issues if the compromises aren’t double-sided. It’s always the bottoms forgiving and giving up their values for the tops. You can’t really expect too much but I was disappointed because the mc and their relationship dynamic seemed pretty cool at the beginning.
I was reading “Guiding the Illusion” and there were 3 versions of chapter 1. Myth Toons and Kaizen Scans uploaded over the original scan team. I just think it’s so disgusting that we keep seeing these “scan teams” that use machine/AI translations and put up ridiculous paywalls on their websites. They’re able to churn out poor quality translations faster than actual scan teams and try to snipe their series to make even more money. Is there anything we can do to stop these cash grabbers? People shouldn’t be putting pirated works behind crazy paywalls. If you’re paying for these awful machine/AI translations, you might as well pay the original authors. If this keeps happening, we’ll lose more and more actual scanlators who care about the series they’re translating and the community.
