the author is good at creating the characters, I hope Turan's growth will not solely be on his powers, though he met a good teacher that influenced his perspectives I hope he'll learn more in his travels, stagnant attitude often makes the story boring. I have high expectations. The shepherd and the sling (bible reference) is really chef's kiss!!
+ as much as I want that there's no romance, I can see a hint of him and Mayse being together in the future
You dont know how painful this is... Im reading this at 4 and I have class at 8 THIS IS TORTUREEE!!!!!! THE CLIFFHANGG!!!!
It hurts even saying this but basically the chasing Arc kinda takes a bit of time. Then one of his subordinates comes and tells him that he has found the woman. And he's like which one? Then he says the one who made him go blind.
And then...they go to the inn she's staying at and she sees him and takes the same poison she poured on him so that he wouldn't recognize her by her voice. Ml then punches her in the stomach so she pukes the poison along with some blood but goes kinda mute after that(I haven't finished the whole thing so I don't know if she's gonna stay mute forever or not).
Anyway she then faints and they put her into a detention center . What happened in that detention center was so heartwrenching and soul crashing. I really wished it'd stop sooner.
If you want to know what happens there, I'll tell you. But be prepared!
Well after she gets to the detention center, she is treated horribly by everyone, by the guards, by the inmates and by Ezekiel( they don't really feed her anything, well the inmates kinda steal her food). You also have to know that they're being kept in a room so cold with a LITERAL palm-sized window .
At first she is suffering from this excruciating pain of the poison in her throat but also the pain in her abdomen. But she doesn't really know why her belly hurts. But one night, she feels a warm sensation dripping from her thighs. At first she doesn't know what it is, but one of the elderly inmates explain to her that she's having a miscarriage .
Ezekiel visits her from time to time just to make her feel miserable for the thing she did to him.
And sis I tell ya, his words literally cut deeper than any knife could

I like the pace, I like the world building, the characters, I LOVE the politics that is being portray here in the story, the expansions, the ideals, the power classes and such, what really struck to me is the horned rats situation its so tragic to see their fate I can relatively compare them to some of todays countries or some citizens in countries, my heart breaks for them.
I can see some changes in the naga labyrinth after the war, I THINK mc should really start training his troops more (like spar and feedback) than relying on himself, he leads in not so bad way but somewhat lacking as his power and troops are expanding fast. I know his sentiments on protecting his home (the labyrinth and members) is strong but he basically backpack carry them which somewhat hindering their growth and experience. If he keeps that up the story will only highlight him and make his troops a mere decoration, a not so bad but a cliche and somewhat boring.
I am rooting for them to win and also a little character development for the mc.
