this author really knows how to break your heart and confront you with the harsh realities so many people live through. i love stories like this, where healing and relationships develop naturally over time instead of being rushed. it makes everything feel so much more genuine and impactful. but after finishing this manhwa, i desperately need something that’ll make me laugh until i cry instead of cry until i can’t breathe lol
i honestly didn’t expect this manhwa to be this good. i had it saved for so long and kept putting off reading it, and now i can’t believe i almost missed out on such a gem. the writing is amazing, and every character feels so real and human. i loved every single one of them, even the characters i found frustrating or unlikeable, because they were written so well and had so much depth.
the story kept me invested from beginning to end, and the emotions hit hard in all the right ways. the art is beautiful and fits the story perfectly. honestly, this manhwa lacks nothing. great characters, great storytelling, gorgeous art—everything came together perfectly. i loved every chapter and i’m so glad i finally decided to read it.
i liked the story overall, but there were a few plot holes and things that didn’t feel fully explained to me. why didn’t they use the antidote to save damha’s father too? and what exactly did garon’s mother do to him? i wasn’t sure if the story was implying some kind of sexual abuse or not.
another thing i didn’t really like was how garon’s madness and murderous tendencies never got a proper explanation. it kinda felt like the answer was just “he’s like that because that’s who he is,” and i wish there had been more depth to it.
there are probably a few other things that bothered me, but i can’t remember them right now. also, i felt so bad for the second male lead he honestly deserved so much better.
-spoliers-
So the reason they didnt use the antidote to save the dad was cuz the village leader never told the mom! Horrible honestly. And yea it’s sexual abuse he told him his mom was “his first woman” and she even told him to “hold him”. But I totally agree on the fact that his madness wasnt more properly explained like from what we doooo know I can see a bit of it stemming from that

i really enjoyed this manga because of how well it handled so many different themes, like figuring out your sexuality, the double standards around male and female friendships, the uncertainty of the future, and the fear of making the wrong choices.
my only real complaint is the ending. honestly, it felt pretty rushed. i don’t mind taichi ending up with touma at all, but i wish we had actually seen how taichi’s feelings developed. instead, the timeskip skips over the most important part of their relationship and leaves everything up to the reader’s imagination. i would’ve loved a few more chapters showing taichi realizing his feelings and how their relationship slowly grew into something romantic.
other than that, i loved the way the author wrote the characters and explored their emotions.
