this got me thinking that ideums crush in high school is in fact NOT jaeyis brother
hmmmmm i wanna think that too but the hair is so different and also just the vibe from jaeyi in his bros memories and in ideums memories is so different but also a great contrast i guess if it is him because it sets the tone for his relationship with his brother vs his relationship with other people so that would be interesting !!!!
what if WHAT IF ideums connection to jiseong is what makes jaeyi realise hey i want to fight for this i don’t wanna give in i don’t want you to have him and im not gonna let up huh what if instead of giving up and breaking up and running away or maybe after briefly running away he’s like you know what jiseong you big fat slag NO i am in love with ideum i refuse to step back huh what if that’s what happens idk i just feel like through what we know of their relationship and what jaeyi has said it seems like jaeyi had to make a lot of compromises and give certain things up because of his brother and his brothers illness so what if this is the one time taht he refuses huh what if that’s what happens (i’m trying to cope with the stress this storylines is giving me man)
after this chapter i’m kinda more convinced in my previous theory that jaeyi might have been a swimmer before he did judo
this is what i was thinking i have this theory that (i’m just throwing some thoughts around but) he seems really familiar with swimming right, and also knows a place where ideum can learn swimming and said he convinced them to let him do so at his own pace showing familiarity not only with the place but the staff there as well? (and this is confined in the new chapter when the instructor says jaeyi called and begged him to take extra care of ideum) he also said before that it was really easy quitting judo cause he had no passion (and he did say that he feels those strong feelings feel fake but i think it goes deeper than that and we just caught a glimpse of it) ALSO in chapter 15 we see his friend saying “it’s not easy to give up on something you love” which contradicts jaeyis earlier thoughts of saying his heart was not in it about judo. also when he’s telling ideum about his brother and how his brother used his surgery to get what he wants it specifically shows him wearing swimming attire and the sentence as well is “even taking what belongs to others”. i did see someone say that maybe jaeyis brother stole jaeyis gf/bf at the time, which is a good theory but i think with the theme of swimming and everything else we know about jaeyi so far, could that have been referring to maybe a spot on the team or smth like that
jinseong does not look nice at all actually i think he’s going to mirror jaeyi because imo jaeyi is kind he is genuinely a kind person you can see it in the way he interacts not only with ideum but some of his classmates as well i think his intention is to come across as aloof and nonchalant and i think that has a lot to do with his past, while jinseong uses kindness as a front i don’t think it’s as genuine as jaeyis but idk it’s just the vibe im getting off of him atm
tbh i don’t want ideums high school crush to be jaeyis brother either but most of all i just don’t want there to be a reconciliation arc between jaeyi and his brother and i dont ideum to be involved either like typically in manhwas that’s how it goes, the mc tried to patch up the broken down relationship between brothers usually by going behind the male leads back and it causes misunderstandings between the main leads and bla bla bla and also i don’t want jaeyi to reconcile with his brother im not necessarily saying i want him to actively resent his brother but i also don’t want whatever he went through to be played off as him being young and dramatic and have it basically be swept under the rug and have the brother hang around despite his interest and pursuit of ideum (if that even happens and im not saying this is gonna happen but with plots like this this is how it typically goes in manhwas and im just hoping it won’t happen in this one) i want to see ideum stand so unwaveringly next to jaeyi like idk man this is just me musing tbh but hey lets wait and see how it goes
i have also seen ppl say that third season was packing way too much and i just didn’t feel that way at all i don’t know if it’s because i reread the story in its entirety but the third season was set up in season 1 and 2 and i think the reason it felt like too many things were happening is because everything woowon has been holding back started over spilling and the death of his father and the accident set all that off and once it set off it was like dominoes but this breakdown was going to happen regardless woowon has had an inferiority complex since the beginning their relationship was never on equal grounds from the very beginning even their separation made sense to me also seoan hoping to be a respite to woowon after the accident could stem from him finding respite in woowon with his anxiety and insomnia and hoping he could offer the same to woowon which is a but farther but i can see why he thought that idk maybe it’s bc i love these characters and this story so much but everything flowed really well for me especially when you read the story in its entirety and the ending didn’t feel rushed either at least not for me but idk we are all entitled to our own thoughts
i think this is an excellent story and i genuinely think that everything that has happened in the plot was well connected and thought out. whether things were dealt with appropriately in the story meh it was 50/50 for me but i never once felt that certain plot points were out of place or certain behaviours where out of place i think the first season sets out everything that happened later in the story perfectly and i never expected their story to be smooth riding anyways i also think that this is the perfect ending for them as well it just makes sense within context of the story it shows seons resolve to distance himself from his family it’s him standing up to his father and it also shows woowons resolve to be together and face certain issues head on and also shows him relying and asking for help and i think that this small almost insignificant changes are better than any grand fairytale endings imo i
jiwoo is a grown ass man. he doesn’t have to work at the same company as that guy, in this day of modern technology he could have taken a cab home, he’s very laid back almost and people constantly cross his boundaries and he does nothing about it like you can see it in his college days where the sunbae used that, you can see it in his current life where he lets that sunbae do whatever and only really snaps at him instead of enforcing boundaries and standing by them, and you can also see it in his treatment of hyeon as well like they have known each other for DAYS and he let that guys move his stuff over like he doesn’t push people away or reinforce boundaries and that sunbae knows it too what wasit that he said “push a little and he will let you do whatever you want” about the transfer to nyc like that’s smth that’s shown throughout the story so as much as i don’t like the sunbae for his shitty ass behaviour you can’t fully blame him for taking advantage of (that’s not really the phrase i wanna use but i can’t think of anything else) jiwoo bc that man lets it happen what’s the point of him telling sunbae to leave him alone if you just let him take you home and buy you coffee and give you rides and share the hotel room ? like he’s very much go with the flow indifferent even tho emotionally i guess he’s anything but indifferent like you are telling me you couldn’t have taken a cab you couldn’t have found a different hotel he just always gives in to the whims of the ppl around him

that one weirdo that is still going on in these comments instead of dropping the story girl no one gaf please rest
