Out of all the expressions in this chapter that one shocked me the most, I never expected such an animalistic and terrifying expression on Yeju's face before. I'm choosing to see the sweet part of this horror show and say Moryeon has come so far, he realized that he needs to take care of Yeju just like how Yeju always takes care of him, sure he regrets it instantly but it's still so sweet. I admit I didn't expect the series to depict the rut as something that drives even the sweetest greenest of green flags into a terrifying beast but it's certainly interesting and I'm sure for a reason later on. I now understand in-universe why Moryeon was never exposed to alpha pheromones before (mentioned in chapter 1) it seems like the Ja family alphas practice high restraint and for a very good reason. Alpha's aren't what Moryeon thought of at ALL and he sadly needed to learn that the hard way, it's to realize he could never have faked being one.
