Seeing Yeju's beautiful eyes so empty is so heartbreaking. He was so lonely, he truly needed Moryeon just as much as Moryeon needed him. They parallel each other, Yeju truly was struggling to survive in the industry so no wonder he related so much to Moryeon's struggle with his family.
Why are the pronouns so messed up? Cheol and Ilchu were speaking about their father's choice, Ilchu asking why his father is refusing the delegation and Cheol responding with his father's reasoning, being that the second brother dying already turned up the structure so their father doesn't want to take a risk that would disrupt the balance they barely recovered.
Anyways this was an amazing chapter, we finally got to see the dynamic between the other brothers and oh wow is Seobun really, really resentful. We saw him sabotage Cheol before and dismiss Ilchu, he does it here again and now knowing he's the one actively seeking out the truth about their brother's death it seems like he's lashing out at all of them, even Mokga as that side eye Mokga gave him was hilarious lmaoooo. Needless to say it seems that Seobun suspects Cheol and Ilchu like Moryeon does, but Seobun is a wildcard.
Still, the way Cheol approaches things, saying temporary, making everything a more diplomatic suggestion instead of just asserting authority. It makes him very compelling as he's not malicious, more pragmatic. What is he tasking Ilchu with investigating, perhaps the plant? Or were they the ones spying on Seobun and Yeju meeting, not Moryeon's servant like we all thought in chapters 25-26.
I like that we finally see what the family thinks, from their POV their choices make perfect sense, Moryeon locked himself up and gave no reason and the family business is taking damage as a result so ofc they'd be very disappointed and angry. But oh man, Moryeon looks horrible. Yeju honey I hope he doesn't tear himself up over this
Actually what does Seobun even do? Just grow herbs for the business? He got the crappy job for sure as Mokga at least enjoys running the stable, it seems like the oldest three got the big jobs then moving down no one got a decent one except Ilchu and I suspect it's only because Cheol regards him so highly so he gets tasked with more as a result
The utter grim atmosphere the family is in while Moryeon is getting fucked inches within his life lmao, at least it will sell his excuse of being sick. Cheol is doing now what Moryeon did to him during the last meeting, push back against the unit to not overturn his authority. Remember that Moryeon tried to establish the new unit just to disregard Cheol's power. The expressions they're all making, you can tell they'r not happy (and very disappointed in Moryeon) but they will take their chance anyways. The expression Cheol made makes it seem like he's not happy to screw over Moryeon but he must, it's such an interesting dynamic. Also I am now more confident in my theory that none of the siblings killed the second one as they would know Moryeon is an omega if they did, due to the plant.
I already find it iffy they chose to translate Moryeon's "I planned to disguise myself as an alpha" to "I disguised myself as an alpha" as it contradicts the onscreen text, which is that Moryeon was exposed to alpha pheromones for the first time with Yeju. I also dislike how the younger brothers refer to each other by first name instead of using brother prior, Seobun calling Moryeon by his name directly in the dinner scene was so jarring and made the tone vastly different as each younger sibling defers politely to their older one in original text. Now they changed commoner to beta, as in the original text they don't use alpha and omega, they say Yan, Yin, neutral etc. Neutral can also mean commoner, so Moryeon was saying we are going to disguise ourselves as two commoners after a day of work.
I'm about to start this, do you think I should just read the unofficial translation and ignore the official? Is it that bad?
The official is really good, but with questionable choices. The unofficial are downright unreadable at points, but with recent chapters they got better. just read the officials and if you're too hooked then continue with the scan groups as by then you'll be fully into the plot without the confusion the unofficial caused sometimes

Out of all the expressions in this chapter that one shocked me the most, I never expected such an animalistic and terrifying expression on Yeju's face before. I'm choosing to see the sweet part of this horror show and say Moryeon has come so far, he realized that he needs to take care of Yeju just like how Yeju always takes care of him, sure he regrets it instantly but it's still so sweet. I admit I didn't expect the series to depict the rut as something that drives even the sweetest greenest of green flags into a terrifying beast but it's certainly interesting and I'm sure for a reason later on. I now understand in-universe why Moryeon was never exposed to alpha pheromones before (mentioned in chapter 1) it seems like the Ja family alphas practice high restraint and for a very good reason. Alpha's aren't what Moryeon thought of at ALL and he sadly needed to learn that the hard way, it's to realize he could never have faked being one.

Woah lads, this season hasn't had a chibi cute moment so far it's intense. So Yeju's rut is depicted as something really terrifying and Moryeon is utter wrecked, he's scared but is trying to take care of Yeju, but Yeju is a beast who won't stop no matter how many times Moryeon says it's enough. He genuinely fucks the life out of him that Moryeon ends up bruised and passes out
Meanwhile the family is having a meeting regarding the business that got delayed because moryeon locked himself up with no word and due to him not doing his job the merchant ships are delayed due to budget and they're all very disappointed in him
It gets so messy between the brothers as we see as unstable their dynamic currently is, Cheol suggests delegating Moryeon's job to someone else, Ilchu volunteers Cheol and tries to say he will help him but Seobun cuts him off and says how about he do it, again trying to sabotage Cheol like episode 15 (seems like he especially resentful of him, most likely suspecting him of the murder of their second brother)
Surprisingly Cheol again takes it and just makes a stoic face, their father decides to wait and see and Ilchu was angry saying why is father defending Moryeon, to which Cheol says it's not out of affection but more because the structure of the business can't change in day, as they saw with delegating the second brother's work
Ilchu calms down a bit and says so father is still (what? mourning?) but Cheol interrupts asking how is the task he asked him to investigate going. Ilchu says it's under process and is taking a while.
There's currently a break and oh man, just when the plot got thick. I think it's them that were spying on Seobun's meeting with Yeju in episode 25, I thought it was Moryeon's men but with this drop of information from the two brothers that they're looking into something I think it's the plant.
Yeju comes to his senses after fucking the life out of Moryeon and sees him bruises and passed out and is horrified.
I mean, I'm kinda impressed Yeju managed to hold out for as long as he did. An Alpha locked in a room with an Omega in heat for DAYS and having sex with said Omega while also having absolutely no form of supressant... The rut being particularly brutal is honestly no shock given the conditions.
Also, Moryeon being wrecked also makes sense, he just got his first ever full on heat with no way of controlling it, Yeju said in chapter 33 that he was barely eating as well. He was basically waking up and having sex till he passed out *for days* and then when he starts to gain some concience again Yeju rut hits.
I enjoy Moryeon learning the consequences of his actions because it's so clear he never fully understood what being an alpha truly entails, he just thought of it as something to obtain to overturn his older brother's position and become the patriarch. He's learning what he wanted to pretend to be as is actually like and I like that he's horrified at first.
Oh absolutely. And I love that he is learning from Yeju because I swear to god he is the alpha with most self control I have ever seen in all my years reading ABO but also being with someone with that much self-control the moment he loses it will absolutely be terrifying. Σ( ￣□￣||)
Episode 32 is the season one finale, afterwards there's a cute special episode that I think all scan groups will skip, which is a shame cuz the chibi episodes not only has cute moments between our couple but the daily lives of the Ja brothers as it shows their sillier and more human side, essential for season 2

No novel, I read the raws so I saw the special episode. Tho one thing the author did say on their official is that "the brothers seem close" regarding chapters 14-16
In the official translation the eldest brother Cheol sounds even more benevolent and tender to the 5th brother Ilchu. The way he guides him implying he doesn't even need permission, they way he speaks about Moryeon in a non malicious way but simply keeping an eye on him (and Seobun at that) I'm too hyper fixated in the brothers dynamic because reading between the lines and art and paneling it really seems like none of the brothers killed the second one. Now we know Yeju has knowledge due to being from the modern world, so whoever knows about the true poison could be another modern person
Okay so I read up until chapter 42 and things are crazy. Some people got some stuff right so be ready it's a doozy.
So it's confirmed that indeed Moryeon was disguised as an alpha from a young age by his mother, she had alpha pheromones in the incense pot released as he slept and hammered in his head that he must become the patriarch and bring everyone to their feet. As if there weren't two alphas already. Moryeon is clearly her first child but we don;t know if he's her only child or not.
Moryeon did the unthinkable as he can't stop releasing omega pheromones, he brings Yeju with him to the emergency family meeting as his father threatened that he will be stripped of his position if he doesn't come. He and Yeju walk in and Yeju is releasing alpha pheromones and who reacts? The youngest child Mokga, who is indeed an alpha!
The eldest, Cheol is angry and horrified saying how can you show up like this in front of our younger brothers and father and Moryeon apologizes and says he was in a rut. So now we know the full genders.
Cheol and second brother are alpha, Moryeon is a fake alpha publicly, 4th and 5th Seobun and Ilchu are beta, and the youngest Mokga is an alpha. It's not out of the possibility that just like how Moryeon thought he was a beta and turned out to be an omega could be the case for Seobun and Ilchu, which would suck massively for them.
Mokga being revealed as an alpha unravels a lot, explaining why Ilchu and Seobun are supporters to their siblings (RIP second for Seobun tho) as they are the lowest ranked ones as beta. It explains why father was so harsh on Mokga.
But here's the worst part. The second Yeju walked in there Seobun immediately recognized him, he was said to have a keen eye and it's true. So my biggest fear now is that Seobun will think Moryeon sent Yeju to sabotage Seobun's murder investigation, making Seobun believe that Moryeon really did kill their brother. Seobun has shown a special resentment to Cheol and Ilchu always sabotaging them during the meetings but now I think his backlash will be reserved to Moryeon under the thought that he was deceived.

It's so crazy to have six kids of all genders, but I'm so happy to be right about the youngest, he truly did look like a baby alpha from day 1. Artist's little details such as the alphas having rounder eyes as a subversion paid off. Seobun and Ilchu are also pretty so I still eye them as potential recessive omegas too but it would be so awful for them if it ever happens.
